Just when you were hoping all the 2020 election brouhaha would soon die down, here comes the cowed Republican Party with a new Donald Trump election scheme.
Politics
Donald Trump simply will not let it go. Ever! He lost the 2020 presidential election fair and square, yet his sick ego won’t ever allow him to admit or accept defeat. So, he will continue to pound and pound and pound the point that he was cheated until people are so used to hearing it they’ll start to believe him. Then, he’ll launch a new Trump election scheme designed to completely consume the Republican Party and dominate American politics for decades to come.
Make no bones about it, Trump is playing dirty pool. He tried to coerce the governor and secretary of state in Georgia to “find” him 11,780 extra votes and cheat the election for him. He dispatched his MAGA mob of white supremacists and conservative flunkies to attack Congress and intimidate Mike Pence into not certifying the election results. He masterminded a plan to stage an independent recount of ballots in Arizona, where a group called “The Cyber Ninjas” is using ultra-violet lights to search for traces of bamboo in the paper ballots to prove they are fake and from China. He ordered Republican legislators in states across the country to change election laws in order to make it harder for Black and Brown voters (usually Democrats) to cast a ballot. He even bullied congressional Republicans to vote against an independent and bipartisan investigation of the January 6th attack in order to continue to pretend that the mob was nothing more than friendly tourists visiting the Capitol.
Now, Donald Trump is out for complete US domination.
According to POLITICO, Trump has hand-picked a few flunkies from his cadre of MAGA minions to run for secretary of state and oversee elections in a few select US states. Then, if elected, they’ll be able to do Trump’s bidding and cheat election results in whatever way he sees fit.
Among Trump’s chosen candidates include Rep. Jody Hice of Georgia, who voted against certifying the 2020 Electoral College results; Arizona state Rep. Mark Finchem, a top proponent of the conspiracy that led to a vote audit in Arizona; Nevada’s Jim Marchant, who sued to have his 5-point congressional loss last year overturned; and Michigan’s Kristina Karamo, who has appeared numerous times on conservative media outlets to claim voter fraud in the election.
.
Interestingly, several Republican officials recognize Trump’s end game and are not buying into the antics.
The election audit is a “sham” and the state legislature has “rented out the once good name of the Arizona State Senate to grifters and con-artists,” said the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors.
“Someone who is running for an election administration position, whose focus is not the rule of law but instead ‘the ends justifies the means,’ that’s very dangerous in a democracy,” said Bill Gates, the Republican vice-chair of the Board of Supervisors in Maricopa County, AZ. “This is someone who is trying to tear at the foundations of democracy.”
“Mark Finchem is running for secretary of state. Process that,” said Recorder Stephen Richer, a Republican who was recently elected the chief elections officer in Maricopa County (Arizona). “If the election was completely fraudulent, as he says, why would you run for secretary of state? What, do you think Dominion is going to rig it in your favor this time?
“Why are you running if you do not believe in these elections?” he added. “I would suggest that his actions speak a lot louder than his words.”
In support of his own candidacy, Hice claims that the election was full of “systemic voting irregularities and fraud,” and that he must run in order “to stop Democrats before they rig and ruin our democracy forever.”
Naturally, Trump also weighed in on his chosen few.
“Jody will stop the Fraud and get honesty into our Elections!” Trump proclaimed in a wink-and-a-nod admission that he’s out to destroy democracy and overtake the American electoral process.
Is Donald Trump becoming a modern-day Hitler right before our very eyes?
OK WASSUP! discusses Politics:
Trump election scheme will cheat elections.
CNN: Rep. Jody Hice says former President Donald Trump would’ve won the 2020 election in Georgia if it were “fair.” He says that Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger sent out 700,000 ballot applications to “illegal voters,” and that there’s going to be “some fraud mixed up in there.” To Hice, those “hundreds and hundreds of thousands of votes” were potentially enough to “far outweigh” President Joe Biden’s certified victory of roughly 12,000 votes in his state. Hice’s various misleading and false claims attempt to undercut the validity of Biden’s victory. But Hice, with Trump’s support, is now the leading Republican candidate to oust Raffensperger in 2022 and run the 2024 elections for the state of Georgia. It’s a trend in battleground states across the country as Trump loyalists seek to become their state’s top election officials, which could give them outsized influence in a close race in the 2024… Read more »
