Trump Exit Strategy: 30 Days Of Destruction

Spread The Love

With less than a month to go before the Joe Biden inauguration, the Donald Trump exit strategy appears to be growing more dangerous and destructive by the minute.

Politics
Holed up inside The White House with blinders on, Donald Trump has completely given up on even appearing to act as the sitting president. Instead of taking action against the growing number of COVID cases or the Russian hacking scheme, Trump has chosen to spend his every waking moment obsessing over an election that has long since been over and results that he is repeatedly reminded he’s powerless to change.

His only acts of late as president have been defiant ones: on Tuesday, he issued a dozen unwarranted presidential pardons then refused to sign the congressional approved COVID relief bill.

Trump Exit Strategy

He lost the election. He lost every legal challenge in the federal courts. The US Supreme Court slammed the door in his face. The Electoral College certified Joe Biden as the winner. Additionally, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Russian President Vladimir Putin each offered a formal congratulations to Joe Biden as the president-elect. McConnell warned his GOP constituents in the Senate not to stage an election challenge on January 6th. One-time Trump flunkie and soon-to-be-former Attorney General William Barr announced on national television that there was no election fraud or irregularities and that the election is over. Even conservative elder and noted televangelist Pat Robertson said on Tuesday that Trump “lives in an alternate reality” and suggested it’s time for him to concede and retire from politics.

.

.

As if that wasn’t enough, Newsmax, the conservative alternative to Fox News, recently began broadcasting a surprise disclaimer which goes counter to Trump’s claims: That Newsmax has no evidence Dominion or Smartmatic manipulated votes in the 2020 election; that Newsmax has no evidence Dominion or Smartmatic has any relationship with George Soros; that Newsmax has no evidence Dominion uses Smartmatic’s software or vice versa; and that Smartmatic is a US company and not owned by the Venezuelan government.

Despite all odds stacked completely against him, the narcissistic Donald Trump doesn’t appear any closer to facing facts and accepting the truth. As of Thursday, he’ll be armed with a brand new Attorney General who will follow Trump’s marching orders to the letter for the next 30 days.  He’s also surrounded himself with such crackpots as attorney Sidney Powell and former national security adviser Michael Flynn, who are each helping him devise a devious Trump exit strategy: concoct a way to impose martial law and order the US military to conduct a “do-over” election, seize voting machines, and stage an intervention in Congress on January 6th in order to steal the election from Joe Biden.

However, worried White House staffers and administration officials have gone to the media to express concern that Trump may be preparing to use his powers of the presidency for much worse.

According to CNN, executive office staff and US military leaders fear Trump might attempt to wield his power as commander in chief in the last days of his term for some sort of vengeful military act.

“We don’t know what he might do,” said one officer in the Pentagon. “We are in strange times,” added another.

“There is no role for the US military in determining the outcome of an American election” Gen. James McConville, the Army chief of staff, and Ryan McCarthy, the Army secretary said in a joint statement.

Donald Trump wanted to be an autocrat. A dictator. His goal upon taking office was to destroy democratic traditions and the way that government works. However, what the shrewd but fake-alpha man never anticipated was that he’d run into a brick wall and get turned back by those he put in place solely to do his bidding.

Trump Exit Strategy

So, what’s the Donald Trump exit strategy? He’ll NEVER admit he lost. Instead, he’ll likely spend his post-presidential days continuing to rile up his millions of MAGA fanatics into the conditioned belief that elections are rigged and democracy is a fraud.

Or, in other words, he’s primed to burn democracy to the ground and sell out America’s institutions just for the sake of never having to admit he’s a loser.

They all are turning on Trump left and right. The Pat Robertson thing was big. When the radical Christians tell you let it go you know it is time.

Truthiz1

Yes indeed. It’s time for him to go. However, until he absolutely has to (Jan. 20th) the man ain’t going anywhere.

He’s got a lot more sh*t to tear up!

The Repugs are just beginning to to reap just what they’ve spent decades sowing. And yet, ALL of that pales in comparison to how they’ve right royally screwed themselves by embracing and enabling Trump.

Of course, he’s angry now and on the warpath. But Mitch and ’em (the Repubs) are now the #1 target of his wrath and will be for quite some time to come.

It’s a sad day when I have to agree with this fool. Now mind you he doesn’t give a fig about Us (the American people). It’s about making the leadership of both partiers look like the craven and heartless specs they are …especially Mitch McConnell. Trump Demands Changes to Coronavirus Relief Bill, Calling It a ‘Disgrace’ WASHINGTON — President Trump on Tuesday evening threatened to derail months of bipartisan work in Congress to deliver $900 billion in coronavirus relief to a country battered by the pandemic, demanding checks to Americans that are more than three times as much as those in the bill, which he called a “disgrace.” “It’s called the Covid relief bill, but it has almost nothing to do with Covid,” Mr. Trump said in a video posted online. “Congress found plenty of money for foreign countries, lobbyists and special interests while sending the bare minimum to the… Read more »

Truth this clown is not trying to help anybody but himself. If he wanted everybody to get more money he could have said something when they were in talks about it. But he said nothing. He is a con man so there has to be some angle for him doing this now. But whatever it is he is doing it for him and nobody else.

Truthiz1

I absolutely agree with you BD. You will note in my first sentenced I wrote:

“It’s a sad day when I have to agree with this fool.” (meaning, $600 is a disgrace). Now mind you he DOESN’T give a fig about Us (the American people). It’s about making the leadership of both partiers look like the craven and heartless specs they are …especially Mitch McConnell.”

Pelosi responds to Trump: Let’s push for $2K checks ‘this week’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Tuesday night responded to President Trump’s call for an increase in stimulus funds following Congress’s passage of the COVID-19 relief package this week, saying she’s ready to push for the $2,000 checks the president requested.

“Republicans repeatedly refused to say what amount the President wanted for direct checks,” Pelosi tweeted, placing the blame on GOP lawmakers. “At last, the President has agreed to $2,000 — Democrats are ready to bring this to the Floor this week by unanimous consent. Let’s do it!” […] – The Hill, Dec. 23, 2020

Trump attacks Thune: ‘He will be primaried in 2022’

President Trump went after Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) on Tuesday as he put pressure on GOP senators to back efforts to challenge the Electoral College vote when Congress meets on Jan. 6.

The president lashed out at Senate Republicans on Twitter, claiming that they would have lost seats without his endorsement. Trump also suggested that Thune, the No. 2 Senate Republican, would be “primaried in 2022.”

“Republicans in the Senate so quickly forget. Right now they would be down 8 seats without my backing them in the last Election,” Trump tweeted. “RINO John Thune, ‘Mitch’s boy’, should just let it play out. South Dakota doesn’t like weakness. He will be primaried in 2022, political career over!!!” […] – The Hill, Dec. 23, 2020

Excellent summary here!

Two takeaways the media has not given enough attention are the Newsmax admission and the Pat Robertson statement. Granted, Newsmax was sued and forced to admit they had no proof of the claims they were making. Still their disclaimer was huge and may make some realize 45s claims are all a rouse. The Pat Robertson statement was also huge since it signals evangelicals may be pulling away from 45. We’ll have to wait and see how this all plays out in the coming weeks.

Truthiz1

Totally agree with your takeaways Saleem.

And let’s also add – it takes some attention away from those 20 reprehensible pardons he granted last night.

The guy knows how to play the American news media (he always has). While also taking out his wrath on the Repubs in particular.

USA Today: President Donald Trump on Wednesday vetoed the National Defense Authorization Act, a $741 billion national security package that would raise troops’ pay, direct the purchase of weapons and set military policies because it does not include provisions that he wanted.  The move is unlikely to stop the NDAA from being enacted. The Senate passed the bill 84-13, well past the two-thirds necessary to veto-proof legislation. The House also passed the bill overwhelmingly. The bill is expected to retain veto-proof support in the wake of Trump’s decision.  “I am returning, without my approval, H.R. 6395 … My Administration recognizes the importance of the Act to our national security. Unfortunately, the Act fails to include critical national security measures, includes provisions that fail to respect our veterans and our military’s history, and contradicts efforts by my Administration to put America first in our national security and foreign policy actions. It is a ‘gift’ to China and Russia,”… Read more »
