Oh, say it ain’t so. Is Trump fatigue (finally) beginning to brew among MAGA sycophants?
Politics :
For months, Donald Trump has remained far and wide ahead of his GOP challengers for the nomination to become President of the United States. However, it now appears many of his followers are starting to experience a bit of Trump fatigue and are coming to the realization that perhaps ‘The Donald’ is not the godsend they once believed him to be.
On January 6, 2021, Donald Trump whipped his crowd into a frenzy, instructed them to storm the Capitol building in order to “save democracy,” and promised to be with them every step of the way. However, once they were all arrested and left high and dry to face the consequences on their own (without an iota of assistance from Trump), some followers began to question their blind fealty.
“Besides being ordered by the president to go to the Capitol, I don’t know what I was thinking,” Dustin Byron Thompson of Ohio said of his actions. “I was caught up in the moment.”
Interestingly, Thompson is not alone.
According to USA Today, a gang of MAGA minions has lashed out at Trump after discovering they are either under investigation or facing election fraud charges for participating in a fake elector plot.
Following the 2020 presidential election, Trump’s legal advisors concocted a scheme to get former vice president Mike Pence to reject Electoral College votes from states that supported Biden and hand them to Trump. That way, Trump’s hand-picked “electors” could deliver the presidency to him against the will of the American people.
At the time, the MAGA crowd thought it was a bright idea. Now, the fake electors have realized they were “duped,” with one admitting he knew it was an “exercise in futility.”
Kelly Ruh of Wisconsin said she was “pissed” for having to go to court over her role in the Trump mess.
“I was not expecting to prevail in the courts and was obviously pissed that I would be using a personal day off to go and complete that process,” she complained.
Michele Lundgren of Michigan said she was “duped” by a Trump lawyer into participating in the meeting of alternate electors.
“I was an innocent little bystander in this whole thing, thinking I was doing my civic duty,” she said.
Robert Sinners of Georgia explained that he now feels he was suckered by Trump’s legal team.
“I am angry because I think in a sense, you know, no one really cared if people were potentially putting themselves in jeopardy,” Sinners said. “But I know my intent was never to be aligned with team crazy.”
However, one MAGA minion described Trump fatigue in 3 simple words: “I’m the sucker!”
Last week, BlazeTV podcaster Steve Deace had an on-air meltdown over Trump’s false narrative about the 2020 election and how Trump associates have begun to admit that everyone was correct about it all being one big lie.
“We [were] going to the mattresses for these people,” Deace said after Rudy Giuliani and others finally admitted to the truth. “We [were] offering them more accommodation, more chances than we’d offer our own family members, for goodness sakes. And for what? To have Rudy Giuliani go down to Georgia and admit that he lied? Have Jason Miller tell the January 6th commission, ‘Yeah. We all knew it was BS.’ What? What is this?”
Deace went on to add that he and others gave time, money, and everything they had to the MAGA movement only to be left holding the bag. For that ignorance, he called MAGA a “cult.”
“Some of you don’t like it when I use the cult word, but when you like being treated like a schmuck, and ask for more, that is a cult,” Deace declared. “‘I’m the mark. I’m the sucker.
“How many people in this audience sent money to Stop the Steal 3 years ago? How many shows did I waste your time talking about this 3 years ago? How many? I still have not recovered,” he continued.
“I went to the mattresses on COVID, in the election fraud issue, only to have Rudy Giuliani say, ‘Yeah, I was lying,’ and Jason Miller say, ‘Oh, we knew it was all BS.'”
It’s too bad so many people fell for the Trump lies and were clueless that his 2020 election conspiracies were complete horsesh*t. However, it’s interesting to sit back and watch Trump fatigue slowly overtake them all.
