Trump Foundation Shut Down Over Illegalities
Oh, say it ain’t so. The Donald J. Trump Foundation was immediately shut down after the New York state Attorney General’s office discovered the alleged non-profit engaging in shady financial practices and other illegal and unethical activities.

The attorney general’s office filed a lawsuit on Tuesday in Manhattan Supreme Court with documentation that Donald Trump and his children violated campaign finance laws and abused the tax-exempt status of their so-called foundation. The attorney general discovered that ‘The Donald’ himself used foundation funds to purchase an autographed helmet from former Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. He also used $10,000 of foundation cash to purchase a life-sized portrait of himself. Additionally, officials discovered that the pretend Board of Directors had not met since 1999 and that the supposed Treasurer of the foundation had no idea he was even a member of the board.
In addition to forcing an immediate shut down of the Trump Foundation, the AG lawsuit is seeking $2.8 million in restitution plus penalties and is requiring Trump to sell his portrait and football helmet. Also, Donald Trump and his 3 eldest children will not be allowed to serve on the board of any other New York nonprofit ever again.
Remember when the media pretended it was a scandal that the Clintons schmoozed people in order to procure millions of dollars to help poor people? And then Trump’s foundation turned out to be, literally-in-the-literal-sense, a criminal enterprise? https://t.co/4ffxATYXhy

“Our petition detailed a shocking pattern of illegality involving the Trump Foundation — including unlawful coordination with the Trump presidential campaign, repeated and willful self-dealing, and much more. This amounted to the Trump Foundation functioning as little more than a checkbook to serve Mr. Trump’s business and political interests,” Attorney General Barbara Underwood said in a statement Tuesday.
“This is an important victory for the rule of law, making clear that there is one set of rules for everyone,” Underwood added. “We’ll continue to move our suit forward to ensure that the Trump Foundation and its directors are held to account for their clear and repeated violations of state and federal law.”
Donald Trump agreed to a quick dissolve of the Trump Foundation in the hopes that officials would not dig any further into his pretend nonprofit’s financial records. However, the judge overseeing the lawsuit ruled that the attorney general’s office may review the so-called charity’s assets, currently listed at slightly more than $1.7 million.
Donald Trump spent the better part of his campaign making fun of “Crooked Hillary” and The Clinton Foundation for alleged improprieties. Now, karma has placed him at the center of a scalding investigation into his own foundation in a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black.
Oh, say it ain’t so, Donald!
