Trump Georgia Fallout (And More) Is Worsening

Spread The Love

On the day of the all-important Senate runoff election, the Donald Trump Georgia fallout appears to be worsening by the minute.

Politics
On Saturday, Trump was secretly recorded attempting to strongarm Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, into “finding” votes he never got in order to help him cheat to overturn the election.

“So what are we going to do here, folks? I only need 11,000 votes. Fellas, I need 11,000 votes. Give me a break,” Trump was clearly heard telling Raffensperger during the hour-long telephone call.

Now, the Trump Georgia fallout is brewing and imminent trouble appears to be on the horizon.

Once Trump realized Raffensperger recorded the call and made it public, he immediately filed 2 lawsuits claiming the Secretary of State was “wrong” for making a private call public. Interestingly, he never mentioned his “wrong” for asking an election official to cheat on his behalf.

.

On Monday, Georgia Voting Systems Chief Gabriel Sterling held a nearly hour-long press conference to debunk Trump’s continued claims of voter fraud in Georgia.

“The reason I’m having to stand here today is because there are people in positions of authority and respect who have said their votes didn’t count, and it’s not true,” the Republican Mr. Sterling said.

“It’s anti-disinformation Monday,” he continued. “It’s whack-a-mole again, it’s Groundhog Day again, and I’m going to talk about things that I’ve talked about repeatedly for two months. I’m going to do it again one last time. I hope.”

On Monday night, the Trump Georgia fallout continued when Donald Trump flew to Dalton, GA in what was meant to be a campaign rally to re-elect David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler to the US Senate. Instead (and as expected), it was nothing more than a “woe-is-me” / “I’m-a-helpless-victim” Trump complain-athon.

“I hope Mike Pence comes through for us, I have to tell you,” Trump said of his expectation that somehow Pence could rig Joe Biden’s Senate confirmation on Wednesday and magically call the election for Trump. “I hope that our great vice president — our great vice president, comes through for us. He’s a great guy. Of course, if he doesn’t come through, I won’t like him as much.”

Clearly, someone failed civics class and has zero understanding of how Wednesday’s Senate confirmation works and that it’s nothing more than a mere formality at this point.

What was also clear is that Trump didn’t travel to Georgia to stump for Perdue and Loeffler — since he barely mentioned them or how their re-election will allow Republicans to retain control of the US Senate.

The Georgia runoff election is today and the Senate confirmation of Biden will occur tomorrow. However, prominent Republicans such as Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri are still tripping over each other to kiss King Trump’s ass and to do his royal bidding — in the hopes of being granted the support of his millions of MAGA sycophants when they attempt to run for president in 2024.

Too bad Cruz, Hawley, and the other Republican ignoramuses on Capitol Hill have not yet realized that ‘The Donald’ will be pushing Don, Jr. or Ivanka Trump for president in 2024 and NOT any of them.  Or, in other words, their actions to be crowned the Trump heir-apparent are fruitless!

Too bad for Trump the Fulton County District Attorney said on Monday that she may bring state charges against ‘The Donald’ (any federal pardon Trump might issue himself would be powerless against state charges) for attempting to circumvent Georgia’s election results and will “enforce the law without fear or favor.”

“Anyone who commits a felony violation of Georgia law in my jurisdiction will be held accountable,” Fani Willis said. “Once the investigation is complete, this matter, like all matters, will be handled by our office based on the facts and the law.”

Great summary DJ. And your points are absolutely spot on. Especially this: Too bad Cruz, Hawley, and the other Republican ignoramuses on Capitol Hill have not yet realized that ‘The Donald’ will be pushing Don, Jr. or Ivanka Trump for president in 2024 and NOT any of them. Or, in other words, their actions to be crowned the Trump heir-apparent are fruitless! […] The blind, deaf and dumb (as in “dummy”) leading the blind deaf and dumb. We couldn’t make any of this stuff up if we tried….smh! Btw- If indeed either Don Jr. or Ivanka has an actual chance of winning the White House in ANY presidential election year We may as well surrender our democracy now because we will truly be done for as a civilized and intelligent nation. Given that, with the election of Trump, the world is already Highly skeptical of us, electing another Trump as president would mark… Read more »

Re: Pence

Pence doesn’t have the authority to change the election outcome. Not in any way, shape or form (everybody knows that).

But Trump being the coward and loser that he is, he has set Pence up to be the ultimate fall guy in his Failed attempts to STEAL the election. And Pence being the sycophantic worm that he is…it couldn’t happen to a more deserving invertebrate.

Tomorrow should be quite interesting.

And IF the Dems can win both senate seats in GA that will certainly be something!

Mr.BD

This is what I am waiting to see. If Dems win tonight it will be icing on the cake to Bidens win.

Mr.BD

Here it is two months after the election and we are still talking about this. Theres no way he will walk out the White House and accept he lost after all this. I do not see this ending well.

Mr.BD

I saw Trumps niece on CNN last night and she was saying why she thinks he is doing all this. He hates he is about to lose all this power and protections in two weeks and go back to being a regular person. Also his personality will not let him admit he is a loser. If he keeps telling everybody he won he will not feel like he lost and a lot people will believe it. That is real pathetic.

Saleem

I never thought I’d say this but Liz Chaney is one of few Republicans doing the right thing.
