Trump Georgia Investigation: It’s D-Day
The Donald Trump Georgia investigation is set to come to a climax today. Or, in other words, today could very well be D-Day for ‘The Donald.’
Politics :
We all heard the telephone tape recordings. We all heard Donald Trump’s attempt to pressure Gov. Brian Kemp into doing his bidding. We all heard him attempt to strongarm Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger into helping him overturn election results in his state following the 2020 presidential election.
“All I want to do is this: I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more that we have because we won the state,” Trump told Raffensperger during the phone call. The secretary of state immediately rejected his request.
At that very moment, the writing was on the wall.
In May of 2022, a special grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia, launched an investigation to determine if Donald Trump committed a crime when he tried to coerce officials into juggling the electoral math in his favor. Now, the 23 jurors and 3 alternates on the grand jury are expected to make their findings known today.
The Trump Georgia investigation was spearheaded by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who has proven to be a no-nonsense enforcer of justice. Based on the grand jury’s findings, she could get the green light today to launch a high-profile criminal case against Trump to send him to jail.
Wait, there’s more.
Trump’s pal and former attorney, Rudy Giuliani, is a prime focus of the investigation and could face similar charges as Trump for aiding and abetting his bogus claims of fraud.
Ms. Willis has also named Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina as an accomplice for telephoning Raffensperger and asking if he had the power to throw away absentee ballots.
According to Georgia law, it is illegal for anyone to intentionally ask, command, or get someone else to engage in election fraud. It is also a crime to interfere with an election official while they’re carrying out their official duties.
Fani Willis believes Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, and Lindsey Graham are each in violation of Georgia law — and she holds recorded proof that the men fraudulently attempted to bully officials into overturning bonafide election results.
The special grand jury in the Trump Georgia investigation could seal all their fates with an expected ruling today. Stay tuned…
