Trump Impeachment Pt. 2 = Democratic Win
Tuesday’s launch of the Donald Trump impeachment Pt. 2 was a veritable masterclass in the do’s and don’ts of how to win a case, with Democrats clearly winning the day and the Trump team failing miserably.
Politics
Lead by Reps. Jamie Raskin, Joe Neguse, and David Cicilline, the House Impeachment Managers opened their case with an emotional video of the January 6th Capitol attack, interspersed with words from Donald Trump coaxing the crowd into violence. One by one, the 3 House Managers displayed a delicate dance of history and facts, giving credence to the constitutionality of their case to impeach someone already out of office.
.
As for Trump’s lawyers, their case was widely rated an F-.
Lead Trump attorney Bruce Castor began with a rambling speech congratulating the Democrats on a good job, even going so far as to admit he was ill-prepared and unexpecting of such a powerful case. By the time his partner, David Schoen, joined in, their afternoon went further downhill from there.
According to sources, Donald Trump himself was livid at the pitiful performance by his legal team. However, they were the best he could get since no one else wanted to work with him.
.
Democrats were able to convince 1 Republican on the strength of their case, as Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana switched sides and voted in the affirmative on the constitutionality of the impeachment case. Where other Republicans will fall on the final vote is still yet to be seen, although Democrats concede convincing others will be an uphill battle.
.
“All around me, people were calling their wives and their husbands, their loved ones to say goodbye. Senators, this cannot be our future. This cannot be the future of America. We cannot have presidents inciting and mobilizing mob violence against our government and our institutions because they refuse to accept the will of the people.” – Rep. Jamie Raskin
In case you missed it, take a look at the video Democrats used to establish their case. It is indeed extremely emotional to watch.

Yep. You got THAT right DJ. It was an absolute disaster for Trump’s lawyers. But let’s face it…Trump’s down to having to rely on “bottom of the barrel” defense attorneys because he’s a “bottom of the barrel” client and his case is just pure garbage.
Still their presentation was even worse than I thought it would be. And that’s saying something when you consider just how bad I thought it would be!
