Trump Indictment May Be Inevitable, Says Sources
With additional testimony mounting and the walls closing in on his inner circle, political insiders believe a Donald Trump indictment is no longer a matter of if, but when.
Politics :
Since the 2020 presidential election, Donald Trump has bullied his MAGA minions and scared Republican cronies into repeating over and over again that he won the presidency (he didn’t) — and that anyone who dared to challenge his theory was reporting “fake news” and only out to get him.
And then, Cassidy Hutchinson happened.
Ms. Hutchinson’s testimony before the House Select Committee as a bonafide member of Trump’s inner circle was so damaging to ‘The Donald,’ even Fox News was unable to spin her words out of context or as anything but credible.
Now, Ms. Hutchinson’s courage in coming forward with the truth has prompted another prominent witness to provide testimony for an impending Trump indictment.
According to CNN, Sarah Matthews, who served as deputy press secretary in the Trump White House until she resigned following the January 6th Capitol Hill insurrection, has agreed to be the next Trump insider to testify before the special House committee next Tuesday.
In fact, not only has Ms. Matthews agreed to cooperate with the committee and their investigation, but she also delivered a terse message to her fellow Republicans who have attempted to discredit Cassidy Hutchinson for speaking the truth.
“Anyone downplaying Cassidy Hutchinson’s role or her access in the West Wing either doesn’t understand how the Trump WH worked or is attempting to discredit her because they’re scared of how damning this testimony is,” Matthews said in a statement. “For those complaining of ‘hearsay,’ I imagine the Jan. 6 committee would welcome any of those involved to deny these allegations under oath.”
Ouch!

In light of last week’s Cassidy Hutchinson deposition and next week’s Sarah Matthews testimony, at least one legal insider believes a Donald Trump indictment is all but certain.
“Merrick Garland is a friend and a former student of mine,” said Laurence Tribe, a professor at Harvard Law School who once taught Attorney General Garland. “He’s an honest man. He said he’d go to the top if that’s where the evidence points and that’s certainly where it’s pointing now.
“There’s strong evidence that the Justice Department is not stopping with the foot soldiers. It’s going to the generals, and the biggest general of all, of course, is Donald Trump,” Tribe said of his belief that there will be a Trump indictment.
Tribe added that he is worried about the possibility of a hung jury due to the potential presence of a jurist who believes Trump can “do no wrong.” He’s also deeply concerned that a Trump indictment could cause a great deal of political unrest. Still, he’s convinced his former student (Attorney General Garland) will follow and protect the constitution and do what is right for the country.
“I certainly recognize that indicting a former president would generate lots of social heat, perhaps violence. But not indicting him would invite another violent insurrection,” Tribe concluded.
Interestingly, political insiders are so convinced a Trump indictment is all but a foregone conclusion, that there’s now a belief the State of Georgia could even beat US Attorney General Merrick Garland to the finish line.
We all heard the recording of Donald Trump committing a felony when he prodded Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to overturn the official outcome in that state and “find” 11,780 fake votes (1 more than Trump needed in the state to appear to beat Joe Biden).
Now, The New York Times is reporting that Rudy Giuliani, Sen. Lindsey Graham, John Eastman, and several others within Trump’s orbit have each been subpoenaed by the State of Georgia in their election meddling inquiry. This means they’ll have to tell what they know under oath or risk their own indictment or worse, imprisonment.
According to Gregg Barak, an emeritus professor of criminology and criminal justice at Eastern Michigan University: In the Georgia case, Trump could be charged with violating as many as 4 statutes. These include seeking to have ballots counted that Trump knew were “materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent under the laws” of the State of Georgia; conspiring with [Chief of Staff Mark] Meadows and 2 other lawyers “to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person…”; “soliciting another person” to willfully tamper “with any electors list, voter’s certificate…”; and engaging in “criminal solicitation to commit election fraud.”
So, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, hold onto your hats because it looks like a Trump indictment is on the horizon. Or, in other words, if Merrick Garland doesn’t get him, the State of Georgia will.

You would, think that , given ALL the evidence they’ve gathered against that dangerous fool, an indictment is indeed just a matter of time. However, we’re talking about Trump. And so far he’s been able to act as if he’s above the law.
And here’s the deal with me, if Merrick Garland is afraid to indict him, Merrick Garland should resign.
