Trump News: The Good And The Bad
We have some interesting Donald Trump news to share, and it’s both good and bad.
Politics :
All of humanity is aware that Donald Trump has dug himself into a deep hole and is in a world of trouble. He’s simultaneously facing yet another lawsuit, 3 indictments, with 1 additional indictment (the case in Georgia) on the way. So, what’s the good Trump news and the bad Trump news, you say? Let’s take a look.
THE GOOD TRUMP NEWS
Here’s the good news. With so many charges hitting Trump all at once, New York Attorney General Letitia James has been patiently holding her ammo in her back pocket. She saw the federal cases rolling in and pressed pause on her state case involving financial irregularities within the Trump empire. However, Lady Tish could pull out her Trump card (pun intended) at any time and stage a $250 million civil fraud case that would end The Trump Organization’s license to operate as a New York business for perpetuity.
THE BAD TRUMP NEWS
The bad news is a biggie.
Although many Americans desperately want to see Donald Trump led off to prison in an orange prison jumpsuit, we may never actually get to see that image. Or, to put it bluntly, it’s very possible that Trump will never serve a single day in prison.
For starters, word on the street is that the feds might offer Trump a plea deal. The rumored deal would drop all charges against him provided he promises to end his presidential bid and never run for any office ever again.
However, the 2nd layer here is that it could be logistically impossible to put a former president behind bars.
According to the Former Presidents Act of 1958, all living former presidents are entitled to Secret Service protection for life (unless they decline protection). Like every other ex-prez, Trump regularly has at least 10-12 agents guarding him at all times throughout the day and night. Regrettably, that level of protection would be difficult to transfer to a federal penitentiary alongside hundreds of hardened criminals.
“Trump is entitled to lifetime Secret Service protection. That means that the former president requires 24-hour protection from up to a dozen or more agents even while in a prison camp,” federal crime consultant Sam Mangel said. “Given the environment, that number of agents is just too high to accommodate.”
Mangel added that the Bureau of Prisons is already short-staffed, but would be crippled if Trump became a prisoner.
“In addition, and maybe most importantly, Trump retains a significant amount of national security knowledge and privileged top-secret information,” Mangel said. “Having such a high-profile person in a custodial setting just isn’t feasible for the country.”
Imagine a dozen or more Secret Service agents having to sit in prison day in and day out just to protect Trump from prison life. Imagine them having to follow him to the cafeteria, the showers, and even the toilet. Imagine loose-lips Trump bragging to another prisoner about more classified documents — AND for that prisoner to either go public with the information or sell it to a foreign adversary.
So, the worst Trump news is that logistics could potentially prevent Donald Trump from ever serving a single second behind bars.
That would leave the options of either putting a tether around his ankle and placing him under house arrest — or Trump accepting a plea deal and agreeing to never again run for president or even dog catcher but to simply disappear into the sunset.

Today’s good and bad Trump news.
Thanks DJ for informing your readers of the logistics problem related to Trump possibly being sentenced to prison while also being entitled to the lifetime protection of the Secret Service.
That said. I wouldn’t trust any “promise” Trump would make when it comes to him agreeing to do OR not do Anything!
House arrest may be the only option, along with an ankle monitor, if he’s convicted.
