In case you haven’t been following along, the latest Trump raid update is that the words and actions of Donald Trump are now becoming a comedy of errors and downright farcical.

When Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election, he defied all logic by proclaiming that he had, in fact, actually won. When Trump staged the January 6th Capitol Hill insurrection, he defied all logic by proclaiming that the rioters were merely tourists who only entered the Capitol building to enjoy the wonders of democracy.
Well, ol’ Donny is at it again with more comedic words and deeds in this Trump raid update that is more pathetic than comical.
TRUMP RAID UPDATE #1 – Excuses, Excuses, Excuses
Now that the FBI has raided Trump’s beloved Mar-a-Lago mansion and found a treasure trove full of stolen and damaging documents that risk national security, ‘The Donald’ has offered one excuse after another on why he swiped highly sensitive documents under the highest classification from the US government.
“I was just taking work home. Everybody does it,” was Trump’s 1st attempt at an excuse.
Apparently, Trump is unaware you can’t take work home when you’re no longer employed.
The next excuse got even better.
I “declassified” all of the documents in question before taking them home,” was Trump’s 2nd attempt at an excuse, albeit an extremely weak one. Too bad Trump didn’t do a simple Google search and learn that the declassification of government documents or information is a process that involves a set of legal steps. Trump can’t simply decide in his mind that something is declassified and then “poof,” it’s done. Nice try, but this ship won’t sail. Try again.
“Well, Obama did it!” was Trump’s 3rd attempt at an excuse, in a claim that former President Barack Obama also stole classified documents and took them home after he left The White House.
“President Barack Hussein Obama kept 33 million pages of documents, much of them classified. How many of them pertained to nuclear? Word is, lots!” Trump claimed.
Regrettably for him, that never happened and his claim is patently false.

TRUMP RAID UPDATE #2 – Moving Is Hard
Continuing to shoot blanks with his excuses, Trump claimed he was in such a rush to pack up his things at The White House (since he was convinced he had really won and would be retained for another 4 years), that he didn’t realize what he was taking. Um… yeah, right.
TRUMP RAID UPDATE #3 – Tone It Down
Following the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump and his minions took to the conservative airwaves to bark about just how “unfair,” “corrupt,” and political the raid turned out to be. Almost immediately, MAGA sycophants began making threats against the lives of FBI agents (some of whom are actually sympathetic to the Trump movement and had nothing to do with the raid).
Realizing that he had once again poured gasoline on an already burning fire, Trump made a whacky attempt to tone down the temperature of the country — with an interesting twist.
“The country is in a very dangerous position. There is tremendous anger, like I’ve never seen before, over all of the scams, and this new one—years of scams and witch hunts, and now this,” Trump told Fox News.
“There has never been a time like this where law enforcement has been used to break into the house of a former president of the United States, and there is tremendous anger in the country—at a level that has never been seen before, other than during very perilous times,” Trump continued while acknowledging that emotions are getting out of hand.
“If there is anything we can do to help, I, and my people, would certainly be willing to do that,” Trump added.
His words came on the same day he wrote this on his Truth Social network:
America has never suffered this kind of ABUSE in Law Enforcement! For the FBI to RAID the home of the 45 President of the United States, or any President for that matter, is totally unheard of and unthinkable. This Break In was a sneak attack on democracy (our Republic!), and was both unannounced and done at a time when the President was not even present. It was for political, not legal reasons, and our entire Country is angry, hurt, and greatly embarrassed by it. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
Exactly how does Trump expect to “tone down” emotions when he’s the ring leader who’s stirring everything up??
In an interesting side note that occurred on the very day Trump issued his litany of weak excuses, a Fox News personality delivered a bit of a “hint” to ‘The Donald.’
On Monday, Fox News host Laura Ingraham said Americans might be ready “to turn the page” on Donald Trump as he decides whether to run for president a third time.
“People conflate Trump with people’s overall sense of happiness in the country. Donald Trump’s been a friend of mine for 25 years, and I’m always very open about this on my show. But, you know we’ll see whether that’s what the country wants,” Ingraham said during an appearance on a Fox podcast. “The country I think is so exhausted. They’re exhausted by the battle, the constant battle, that they may believe that, well, maybe it’s time to turn the page if we can get someone who has all Trump’s policies, who’s not Trump.”
Or, in other words, even Fox News personalities are suggesting it might be time for Trump to GET LOST!

The Daily Beast: Former President Donald Trump just cannot stop talking about the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago, acknowledging on Sunday that the FBI did take stacks of boxes but demanding the documents be returned because they were protected by either executive or attorney-client privilege. The claim added two new excuses to his and his supporters’ ever-evolving list of reasons as to why the raid was unlawful, inappropriate, fruitless, overly intrusive, no big deal, or a mix of all five. “Oh great!
