Trump Temper And Reckless Rhetoric Backfires
Oh, say it ain’t so. It looks like the infamous Trump temper has gotten ‘The Donald’ in trouble once again!
Top News Today :
The history books will one day list Monday as a horrifically bad day for Donald Trump. It’s the day that his years of “privilege,” inability to keep his big mouth shut and follow the rules, and that terrible Trump temper dug his unbelievably deep hole of trouble even deeper.
US District Judge Tanya Chutkan is presiding over Trump’s current District of Columbia case, following his indictment on 4 counts related to efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. Those counts include conspiracy to defraud the United States; conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding; obstruction of and attempting to obstruct an official proceeding; and conspiracy against rights.
On Friday, Judge Chutkan provided ‘The Donald’ with a crystal clear warning to not taint the jury pool by making inflammatory remarks via social media or in public regarding the trial and/or its participants. She cautioned that if he defied her order, she would (at the very least) move up his January 2, 2024 trial to an earlier date — and that she reserved the right to add additional penalties at her own discretion.
Now, telling Donald Trump to not do something is like telling a hungry lion to not eat a lone gazelle he finds in a field. So, as expected, Trump took to his Truth Social network over the weekend and went absolutely berserk with vitriol. He picked fights, he shifted blame, and he yapped his trap in direct disobedience of the judge.
Yes, less than 48 hours after the judge’s admonishment, Trump shared a post from right-wing activist Mike Davis which falsely accused Judge Chutkan of having “admitted” she is engaging in election interference against the frontrunner for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination (Trump) while overseeing the federal proceedings.
“She obviously wants me behind bars. VERY BIASED & UNFAIR,” Trump added in a follow-up post.
His anti-Chutkan bark came after previously saying he will never get a fair trial [read: a trial that ends in his favor] if Judge Chutkan is allowed to remain on the case.
“THERE IS NO WAY I CAN GET A FAIR TRIAL WITH THE JUDGE ‘ASSIGNED,’” Trump said.
Next, Trump publicly went after special counsel Jack Smith once he discovered Smith had (legally) seized Trump’s Twitter account to use as evidence against him in the trial.
“How dare lowlife prosecutor, Deranged Jack Smith, break into my former Twitter account without informing me and, indeed, trying to completely hide this atrocity from me,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “What could he possibly find out that is not already known.”
Trump has a long history of attacking prosecutors or any person of legal authority. However, his battles have often been tinged with racism.
Trump called each of the 3 Black prosecutors investigating him — New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg, New York Attorney General Letitia James, and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis — racist. His claims came after once making racist comments toward US District Judge Gonzalo Curiel in 2016, and more recently, against US District Judge Lewis Kaplan and Judge Arthur Engoron in New York.
Oh, but ‘The Donald’ wasn’t done.
Feeling invincible, Trump then used the rest of his Monday to go after Georgia prosecutor Fani Willis in an all-caps social media tirade.
I UNDERSTAND THROUGH ILLEGAL LEAKS TO THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA THAT PHONEY FANI WILLIS, THE D.A. OF FULTON COUNTY, GEORGIA, WANTS DESPERATELY TO INDICT ME ON THE RIDICULOUS GROUNDS OF TAMPERING WITH THE 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. NO, I DIDN’T TAMPER WITH THE ELECTION! THOSE WHO RIGGED & STOLE THE ELECTION WERE THE ONES DOING THE TAMPERING, & THEY ARE THE SLIME THAT SHOULD BE PROSECUTED. I MADE A PERFECT PHONE CALL OF PROTEST. WHY WASN’T THIS FAKE CASE BROUGHT 2.5 YEARS AGO? ELECTION INTERFERENCE!
As if that wasn’t enough, he then stooped to witness tampering by publicly warning a former lieutenant governor of Georgia to not cooperate by testifying against him.
“I am reading reports that failed former Lt. Governor of Georgia, Jeff Duncan, will be testifying before the Fulton County Grand Jury,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social network on Monday. “He shouldn’t. I barely know him but he was, right from the beginning of this Witch Hunt, a nasty disaster for those looking into the Election Fraud that took place in Georgia.”
By Monday evening, Donald J. Trump and 18 of his cronies were indicted for attempting to overthrow the 2020 Georgia election.
His cast of indicted accomplices include former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, former state Republican Party chairman David Shafer, former attorney Sydney Powell, former Coffee County elections director Misty Hampton, and others.
The blockbuster 41-count, 98-page indictment said Trump and his co-defendants refused to accept Trump’s legitimate loss in Georgia. It added “They knowingly and willfully joined a conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome of the election in favor of Trump. That conspiracy contained a common plan and purpose,” and involved breaching Georgia voting machines as well as attempting to coerce election officials to “find” him more votes so he’d win.
To recap, Donald Trump has blatantly defied the orders of Judge Tanya Chutkan with unknown consequences soon to follow. He tampered with a witness in the Georgia case. He has also now been indicted 4 times and could likely spend his coming days in court more than on the campaign trail — if not in jail.
Interestingly, the Fulton County case could ultimately have the most staying power if Trump is convicted.
Although a future Republican president could pardon Trump and dismiss all federal charges against him, his crimes in Georgia are a state case and immune to federal involvement. In fact, Georgia’s pardon process is in the hands of an independent board and not the governor. Additionally, state law says that a person would need to wait 5 years after serving any prison sentences before they could be considered for a pardon.
Or, in other words, if the seemingly rock-solid case in Georgia ends in a conviction with Trump behind bars, no Republican president or GOP Georgia governor could come to his rescue.
Oh, Donald. That damned Trump temper and years of crooked shenanigans may have finally done you in this time.

The Trump temper creates trouble in DC and Georgia.
MSNBC: It’s not exactly a secret that Donald Trump is feeling some anxiety about his likely criminal indictment in Georgia. The former president’s online hysterics directed at Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, for example, reflect an apparent sense of panic. Just hours after trying to smear the local prosecutor, Trump used his social media platform to ask “someone” to tell the Atlanta-area grand jury that he didn’t “tamper with” the 2020 election — just in case they happen to have seen evidence to the contrary. Minutes later, he published a related message: “I am reading reports that failed former Lt. Governor of Georgia, Jeff Duncan, will be testifying before the Fulton County Grand Jury. He shouldn’t. I barely know him but he was, right from the beginning of this Witch Hunt, a nasty disaster for those looking into the Election Fraud that took place in Georgia. He refused having… Read more »
