Get out the pacifier and warm bottle. Donald Trump is throwing a classic Trump temper tantrum and, as expected, refusing to accept defeat.
Politics
President-elect Joe Biden is now on the verge of crossing the 2020 presidential election finish line with a whopping 306 electoral votes. However, 4 days after the federal election commission called the contest for Mr. Biden, ‘The Donald’ is throwing a Trump temper tantrum, is continuing his months-long claim of widespread voter fraud (without evidence), and is refusing to concede the election he lost by a commanding margin.
Since watching an entire nation take to the streets and break out into an impromptu dance party from coast to coast over his loss, Donald Trump has barricaded himself inside The White House and sunk into a dark and brooding depression. His only connection to daylight and the outside world has been a series of tweets pushing a narrative that the election was rigged, that victory was stolen from him, and that there is no possible way he could have ever lost.
“I WON THIS ELECTION, BY A LOT,” Trump tweeted emphatically, yet erroneously.
Now in total defiance, Trump has ordered all government agencies to NOT cooperate with the Joe Biden transition team, has directed the head of the General Services Administration to withhold the roughly $9 million in government funds created to assist Joe Biden (just as it does with every incoming administration) with a smooth transition, and has refused to provide the Biden team with a daily national security briefing — which is standard in preparing all new presidents for any foreign threats facing the US.
By refusing to concede, Trump has frozen the bedrock American practice of a peaceful transition of power and jeopardized the protection of American security. Additionally, his Republican cohorts are all coddling him and playing along in order to soothe his bruised ego and to keep his MAGA fans engaged for future use (read: the upcoming Georgia runoff election and GOP support in 2024).
Donald Trump claims voter fraud (and not a Biden winning strategy) cost him the election. However, despite filing myriad lawsuits to have votes from states he lost disenfranchised in his favor, he has yet to offer a sliver of tangible proof of claims that he was cheated. Not once has he provided evidence of cheating. Instead, he shouted “FRAUD” then went out seeking anything to help back up his unsubstantiated charges.
For example, Donald Trump lost the State of Georgia by nearly 14,000 votes — a state which has traditionally voted Republican and has a Republican governor, attorney general, and secretary of state. However, Trump and his disciples are now blaming Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger for losses in the state. In fact, Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler (who are each headed for a runoff election in January against Democratic challengers), have called for Raffensperger to resign over the Trump loss and GOP forced runoff, citing “mismanagement and lack of transparency.” Interestingly, Raffensperger has refused to resign, recognizing that the anger directed at him is because he’s following the law and doing his job, instead of conjuring up false evidence of voter fraud that would hand Trump, Perdue, and Loeffler an unwarranted victory.
In addition to claiming coordinated voter fraud in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nevada, and Arizona, Donald Trump is also attempting to reject some ballots of military personnel overseas. Yes, despite a rich history since 1812 of American servicemen and women voting from wherever they’re stationed, Trump now wants to throw out certain military ballots (that weren’t cast for him) claiming the personnel lived outside of the country and not in the state of registry at the time of the election. Anything to rig the election results in his favor.
So, how should Americans and President-elect Biden handle this out-of-control Trump temper tantrum? Mr. Biden said on Tuesday he is attempting to give Trump and Republicans a bit of “breathing room” to accept the election results. He’s also stepping out of the way to allow courts to continue throwing Trump’s baseless lawsuits out due to lack of evidence and to give Trump hanging room to run out of legal options. Further, the Electoral College will certify state election results next month, formalizing Mr. Biden as the president-elect and pulling the rug out from under Trump’s remaining bag of tricks.
Or, in other words, Donald Trump and his MAGA sycophants can huff and puff and kick and scream and throw a Trump temper tantrum all they want — but on January 20, 2021, his presidency will be history.

OTHER EMBARRASSMENTS
As if Donald Trump’s loss, refusal to accept the reality of defeat, and huge dance party in the streets over his firing weren’t embarrassing enough, Trump lawyer and lead-flunkie Rudy Giuliani provided a comedy of errors on behalf of ‘The Donald’ over the weekend.
Giuliani and the GOP had intended to hold a press conference at the Four Seasons in Philadelphia to further Trump’s claims of voter fraud and stealing of the election. However, instead of booking the illustrious hotel, someone mistakenly booked Four Seasons Total Landscaping, a groundskeeping business located on the outskirts of town between a crematorium and an adult sex shop.
While standing outside and in front of a garage door of the landscaping business during the press conference, a reporter informed Giuliani of Biden’s victory announcement by all major media outlets. Clearly stunned by the news, Rudy flung his hands into the air and sarcastically shouted over and over “Oh, the media. The media. The media…”

This is not over. For we shall mount our righteous stand at Four Seasons Total Landscaping. Next to Fantasy Island Adult Books. Across the street from the Delaware Valley Cremation Center. Between the fire extinguisher and yellow hose. #MAGA pic.twitter.com/hxuAsbEjXi

Let the history books note: the dildo shop next to the Trump campaign’s presser had better COVID protocols than the Trump White House. pic.twitter.com/tR4jij9iem

It was a sad reminder of the clown circus that will soon be closing up shop in a mere 71 days.
Everybody already knew he was never going to concede. The part we don’t know is what damage he is going to do before he leaves. He is so petty he is going to burn it all down on the way out. And Rudy Giuliani is a real embarrassment. That whole press conference is right out of a Borat movie.
