Trump Voter: ‘I Believe Trump Over Jesus’

Spread The Love

Just when you thought you’ve seen the most ignorant Trump voter alive, another one comes along and rivals all the rest.

Politics
This is the unbelievable tale of Mark Lee, an avowed Christian conservative who voted for Trump for president but has since somehow elevated “The Donald” to Christ-like status.

During a recent panel discussion on CNN of 6 Americans who each refer to themselves as “a proud Trump voter,” Lee launched into a soliloquy boasting of his faith, love, and trust in Donald Trump.  He said he believes in Trump’s professed mission of “draining the swamp” and described the “swamp” as “the mainstream, the elites that look down on a guy like me.”

He also added that he doesn’t believe having multimillionaires in the Cabinet is counterproductive to Trump’s “drain the swamp” message.

“I love that,” he said. “They’re not politicians.”

However, even the most hardened Trump voter or 2 took issue with what Lee had to say next.

When asked what he thought of Trump’s ties to Russia and the possibility that Trump may have colluded with the Kremlin in order to win the presidency, Lee was adamant that he would refuse to believe it no matter what.

“If Jesus Christ gets down off the cross and told me Trump is with Russia, I would tell him, ‘Hold on a second. I need to check with the president if it’s true,’” Lee said.

HUH???

If Jesus Christ Came Down From The Cross And Told Me Trump Was With Russia, I Wouldn’t Believe Him! – Mark Lee

Politics
So, a man who describes himself as an avowed Christian who is (theoretically) told by Jesus Christ himself that Trump did, in fact, collude with Russia, would actually choose NOT to believe Jesus but instead to believe Donald Trump???

If you’re wondering what type of Christianity that is, just know that it’s not.  Instead, it’s the blind and ignorant ramblings of a mentally challenged Trump voter who drank the Kool-Aid and is (regrettably) beyond being brought back to any semblance of reality!

By that statement alone I deduce the following:

– The guy is NOT actually a “Christian.”
– Facts means absolutely nothing to him
– He’s an idiot who lacks critical thinking skills AND….
– He’s an attention-seeking nutjob desperate for the spotlights by darn near any means necessary

Says a lot about the kinds of people drawn to Trump. As I’ve said many times before – many, if not most, of Trump’s supporters see themselves in Trump. They share many of the same twisted personality traits, intellectual deficiencies and character flaws.

Sad. Disturbing. But also sad.

Truth my friend you are right again. This guy is so stupid he sees Trump as his poster boy. But for him being Christian I believe that part. A lot of Christians are the biggest hypocrites there are. They twist and turn things to fit whatever they need at the time. So he probably is just what he showed himself to be. A dumb Christian following another dummy.

So true BD, which is why I long ago adopted the term “Christianist” (shout out to Andrew Sullivan) to describe a person who claims to be a “Christian” but in fact seeks to use the Christian faith for political and personal gain. Their words and deeds give them away (hypocrites, liars and frauds)

In the case of Mark Lee- I didn’t claim to be a Christian. He’s just an attention-seeking nutjob who deliberately threw that offensive line out there simply for shock value.

Oops! I meant to say: In the case of Mark Lee- he didn’t claim to be a Christian.

He’s just an attention-seeking nutjob who deliberately threw that offensive line out there simply for shock value.

Man this guy is a piece of work!

And on a related note: “For Christians Who Feel Betrayed By Christianity” Since the election of President Donald Trump, many Christians are asking: How could so many {self-described} Christ-followers agree with actions that are so decisively un-Christlike? Many Christians are struggling to understand how two things that are diametrically opposed to one another — Trump’s policies versus following the gospel of Christ — can be possibly reconciled. How does one cope with the fact that their church passionately endorsed {and still supports} a candidate associated with xenophobic, discriminatory, racist, and fear-mongering agendas? Instead of being an earnest endeavor to follow the Prince of peace, the Comforter, the Healer, the Deliverer, the Good Shepherd, and King of Kings — Jesus — many discovered that their faith-based institutions were being used as props to gain political control, wealth, comfort, and carnal power. And instead of being pointed unequivocally to a Divine King,… Read more »
