Trump vs Twitter Temper Tantrum!!

Spread The Love

Oh, say it ain’t so.  A new Trump vs Twitter tirade over the truth has turned into a bitter brouhaha that could spell trouble in paradise for the once dynamic duo.

Current Events
For years, Donald Trump has used Twitter as his personal bullhorn to exact revenge against his enemies and to push every falsehood and conservative conspiracy theory he could concoct.  This was never more evident than recently, when ‘The Donald’ began gradually planting seeds of doubt against mail-in voting and how it’s allegedly rife with fraud.  The strategy was so that he’d have a Plan B to argue against the election results and hold onto power should he lose in November.

Trump vs Twitter

Earlier this week, Trump launched his latest conspiracy theory by tweeting: “There is NO WAY (ZERO!) that Mail-in-Ballots will be anything less than substantially fraudulent.”  He then falsely claimed California was sending mail-in ballots to “anyone living in the state, no matter who they are or how they got there,” and that the entire process was on track to become a “rigged election.”  Of course, Trump made no mention of the fact that he’s been voting by mail for years, or that the Brennan Center for Justice says that “while mail ballots are more susceptible to fraud than in-person voting, it is still more likely for an American to be struck by lightning than to commit mail voting fraud.”

Like his multiple mentions of the supposed miracle effects of hydroxychloroquine against COVID-19, Trump was already up to one of the oldest tricks from his playbook:  if you repeat it enough, people will begin to believe it.  Little did he know he was about to run into a roadblock.

On Tuesday, Twitter had enough of the lies and began censoring Trump’s tweets for containing what it called “potentially misleading information about voting processes.”  The social media network decided it could no longer allow Trump to hijack its platform in order to push falsehoods to the public.  So, they labeled the Trump tweet with a disclaimer to “Get the facts about mail-in ballots.”

By clicking the warning notice, readers are now redirected to a page labeled “Trump makes unsubstantiated claim that mail-in ballots will lead to voter fraud” where fact-checkers completely debunk Trump’s vote-by-mail allegations.  And thus, the Trump vs Twitter feud was born.
.

.

“.@Twitter is now interfering in the 2020 Presidential Election,” the livid Donald Trump lashed out via a tweet. “They are saying my statement on Mail-In Ballots, which will lead to massive corruption and fraud, is incorrect, based on fact-checking by Fake News CNN and the Amazon Washington Post … Twitter is completely stifling FREE SPEECH, and I, as President, will not allow it to happen!”

Trump then threatened that on Thursday, he will sign an executive order to “regulate” or completely shut down Twitter or any social media network that doesn’t allow him to say whatever he wants.  Yeah, good luck with that one.

Donald Trump built his political brand by posting a steady stream of false information, conspiracy claims, and personal attacks on Twitter.  Now that he sees it all unraveling only months before his big re-election battle, he’s engaged this new Trump vs Twitter tirade.

Too bad he doesn’t realize he’s threatening to shut down Twitter’s right to free speech because he says they’re shutting down his right to free speech.

Crazy, huh?

Oh no – he realizes it. He just doesn’t give a d*mn about the right to “Free Speech” or “the right” to ANYTHING that doesn’t benefit him AND ONLY HIM.

How many times have said it? There is NO bottom with this guy! He’s just a 2-legged bottomless dark PIT of ignorance and other such toxic garbage

Now let me also add this………….

I don’t give a fig about Twitter (Jack Dorsey) OR Facebook (Mark Zuckerberg).

I can’t think of companies that have contributed more to the division and decline of this country than those 2 reprehensible “social network” companies. They’re trash. Pure garbage.

And now I see that Dorsey and Zuckerberg are going at it:

I would like to see Trump try to close down Twitter. Anybody that does not agree with him or let him have his way he always wants to fight. I really want to know what he was like as a child. They must have bullied him so bad to make him be this way as a adult.

CNBC:

President Donald Trump on Thursday signed an executive order cracking down on “censorship” by social media sites, a move widely seen by critics as retaliation against Twitter’s decision to slap fact-checking labels on the president’s tweets.

The executive order targets companies granted liability protections through Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. Without congressional action, however, there are limits to what Trump can do with the executive order. The president said Thursday that he would indeed pursue legislation in addition to the order.
