There were two elements about this whole affair that do not reflect well of the new President. First, he demonstrated a total unwillingness to even gain a basic understanding of what was in the bill, which makes him an irresponsible and unnecessary party to the conversation.

Secondly, when it came time to negotiate, his only goal was an outcome that he could declare victory over Obama and completely ignored the potential impacts of his concessions on the public, which suggests that he could really care less what happens to the average citizen and only cares about how it impacts his image. The latter is truly depressing and sad that this will drive his policy negotiations. […]

“Sometimes you’re playing Fantasy Football and sometimes you’re in the real game,” he said. “We knew the president, if we could get a repeal bill to {Obama's} desk, he would almost certainly veto it. This time we knew if it got to the president’s desk it would be signed."

Gallup: Trump hits new low after health care flop

President Donald Trump’s approval rating slipped to a new low Monday in the Gallup daily tracking poll, the first measure of Trump’s job performance following his administration’s failure to move a new health care law through Congress.

Only 36 percent of Americans approve of the way Trump is handling his job as president in interviews conducted last Friday through Sunday, a time period entirely after Republicans abandoned their bill to replace the 2010 Affordable Care Act.

Trump’s approval rating is down from 41 percent in the prior three-day period. His previous low-water mark in the Gallup poll came earlier this month, when interviews conducted March 16-18 showed his approval rating at just 37 percent.

In the new survey, the percentage of Americans who disapprove of Trump’s performance is 57 percent, up from 54 percent in the previous three-day rolling sample. That’s one point shy of Trump’s highest disapproval rating: 58 percent in the March 16-18 sample. […] – Politico

DJ, I was trying to get to this post ALLLL day….Lol

I usually get to work real early in the morning so I can have some private time to read your posts and a few other posts before my day really gets started. Suffice it to say I was dragging this morning. Probably because I was up reading until about 2 AM….lol

Anyway………

Trump looked like a shell-shocked OLD fool. He still doesn't know what hit him!. And neither does Ryan.

And to think – Ryan is what passes for an "intellectual"…..a "policy wonk" in the Republican party…smh.

The Democratic party is NO prize. But the entire Repub party is a "YUGE" hot mess. Always trying to run game. And always FAILING.

Trump is in WAAAY over his head and he knows it. Po' fella….smh.

And now he knows that the whole WORLD knows it too.
