Trump’s Border Wall Can Be Cut, Says WaPo

- Hate to say we told ya so!

Oh, say it ain’t so.  Remember Trump’s border wall — you know, the one that was supposed to be “virtually impenetrable?”  Well… um… it’s penetrable!

Top News Today
For years, Donald Trump has been a broken record singing the same old tune:  “Build That Wall” and keep those (dirty) Mexicans out.  He boasted that only he and he alone could build the “best” and most “beautiful” wall and that his concrete, rebar, and steel structure would be impossible to get over, under, or through.

Well, hold on there cowboy!

Trump's Border Wall

Over the summer, Mexicans showed ‘The Donald’ just how easy it was to climb over Trump’s border wall by using improvised ladders to go up and over the barriers within seconds.  Some even took selfie photos of themselves atop the structure just to jeer the orange man in the Oval Office.

So as to not be outdone, a defiant Trump proposed shooting migrants in the leg (to slow them down) and to build a moat along the border stocked with snakes and alligators — an idea that was quickly shot down.

Soon after, Trump returned to his original wall idea but has since discovered that a $100 saw readily purchased at any hardware store could easily cut through his border barrier in a mere matter of minutes.

Trumps Border Wall

According to The Washington Post, gangs in Mexico have repeatedly sawed through new sections of Trump’s border wall in recent months by using a popular cordless household tool known as a reciprocating saw.  The gangs opened gaps large enough for people and drug loads to pass through, making a mockery of Trump and his proposed $21.6 billion dollar faux barrier.

Border agents, who spoke on condition of anonymity, explained that when fitted with specialized blades, a reciprocating saw can slice through a steel-and-concrete bollard in minutes.  Once they’ve cut through the base of a single bollard, smugglers can simply push the steel out of the way and create an adult-size gap suitable for scores of people to climb through with ease.

Now, hold your horses.  Here’s where the story gets really interesting.

When asked about the failure of his signature campaign promise to build a wall between the US and Mexico and how easy it is for his wall to be breached, Trump completely contradicted himself.

“We have a very powerful wall,” he claimed.  “But no matter how powerful, you can cut through anything, in all fairness. But we have a lot of people watching. You know cutting, cutting is one thing, but it’s easily fixed.”

HUH?????

Trump's Border Wall

Since 2016, Donald Trump has claimed that his beloved border wall was a necessity and that the billions of dollars it would cost would halt illegal immigration in its tracks.

Now, he’s saying: “But no matter how powerful, you can cut through anything???”

If he knew the wall could easily be cut with a readily-available commercial saw, why did he press for American taxpayer funds to be spent on a known technological flop?

Unless, of course, ‘The Donald’ is lying in order to save face from the failure of his priority pet project.

Oh, say it ain’t so!

Trump is a awful president but one thing he does know about is building. With that said I have a hard time believing he did not know a wall could get cut through. Anybody who knows concrete or steel has to already know this. My guess is he know all along but he just used the wall thing to rile up all his racist followers and make them think he had a way to keep the dirty Mexicans out as DJ would say. It was all a trick and now he is admitting yes it can be cut. So we don’t need to spend a penny more building something that does not work.
