  1. Shortly after hearing about Mike's scheduled concert tour, I told my cousin that it was never going to happen. I didn’t think he’d be dead. But I pointed out to her that, IMO, Michael Jackson was simply in no shape, physically or mentally to take on such a task. The Good:I remember, as a child, sitting in the backseat of my dad’s car being driven to school and hearing “I Want You Back” for the first time. I was a kid but I knew great music when I heard it! I grew up on a steady diet of the Jackson 5_and later_Michael Jackson’s solo music. A lot is made of “Thriller” and rightly so. But the truth is, “Off The Wall” is my favorite because it preceded “Thriller” and introduced me to a whole new style of R&B/PoP fusion:“Off the Wall” displayed his raw musical genius. Thriller displayed his musical AND visual genius. The Bad: I don’t believe the guy was ever truly happy. His natural gifts brought him attention, fortune and fame_AND attention, fortune and fame eventually did him in.The man became a recluse; displayed an unhealthy attraction to young, (in particular sickly) boys and by most accounts lived in a kind of fantasy world. “Neverland” was his fantasy place turned nightmare. For years, plagued by molestation allegations, he settled “many of them” out of court. There’s also some question as to his “abuse” of prescription drugs??? I began to lose interest in his music after Thriller. The Ugly: He leaves behind 3 children and reportedly, at least $400 million dollars in debt.As per his “official” attorney, they have “NO record" of a “Will”.
