Tucker Carlson Texts And Don Lemon Calls
A series of Tucker Carlson texts are beginning to unravel why the former Fox News anchor may have been fired.
Current Events :
Fox News fired Tucker Carlson last Monday, effectively choosing to part ways with its most popular television personality rather than allow him to continue his brand of conservative “journalism.” Fox settled a nearly $1 billion lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems after Carlson and other Fox News personalities repeatedly regurgitated on-air lies from Donald Trump that claimed he was cheated out of the presidency in 2016 — and that Dominion voting machines changed votes in order to hand the presidency to Joe Biden.
Now, a damning set of Tucker Carlson texts have revealed the lying game that’s been going on at Fox News — and the extremely likely reason why the network abruptly decided to sever ties with him ASAP.
“We devote our lives to building an audience and they let Chris Wallace and Leland f*cking Vittert wreck it,” Carlson wrote in a group text with Laura Ingraham and Sean Hannity regarding his displeasure with Fox for allowing other on-air personalities to debunk his lies. (Vittert is a former Fox News reporter who was frequently criticized by Donald Trump).
“What he’s good at is destroying things,” Carlson said of Donald Trump in a text to producer Alex Pfeiffer in November of 2020. “He’s the undisputed world champion of that. He could easily destroy us if we play it wrong.”
“I hate him passionately,” Carlson, texted only days before the Capitol Hill insurrection. “We’re all pretending we’ve got a lot to show for it [Trump’s presidency], because admitting what a disaster it’s been is too tough to digest. But come on. There really isn’t an upside to Trump.”
Then, in a text from November 9, 2020, Carlson made a surprise admission regarding claims of cheating by Dominion Voting Systems.
“The software shit is absurd,” Carlson conceded. However, in deference to Trump and Fox viewers, he went on television later that night and said: “We don’t know anything about the software that many say was rigged. We don’t know. We ought to find out.”
Clearly, the Tucker Carlson texts were damaging to Fox News in their Dominion lawsuit. However, it appears Fox was willing to throw their prized TV personality under the bus in order to prevent him from damaging a 2nd lawsuit by Smartmatic that is still forthcoming.
Meanwhile, in the week since Fox fired Tucker Carlson and CNN fired Don Lemon, the 2 men have reportedly been in contact via texts and phone calls.
According to Vanity Fair, Carlson and Lemon have each retained the same entertainment lawyer and are apparently coordinating their strategies to pursue individual lawsuits against their former networks.
The 2 strange bedfellows not only want their contracts paid in full, but are also seeking severance pay, legal fees, and more.
Good luck to them!
OK WASSUP! covers Current Events:
Did the Tucker Carlson texts prompt his firing?
These “2 strange bedfellows” indeed!
With his decision to become *pals* with Tucker Carlson, Don Lemon continues to prove he’s just not that bright..smh!
If Tucker was still employed at Faux, he, no doubt would’ve had a field day with Lemon being fired by CNN.
In fact, Tucker would still be trashing Don today!
