In Tulsa, at least 4 people were killed and multiple others were injured after a gunman opened fire inside the St. Francis Hospital Medical Center.
Shortly before 5pm on Wednesday afternoon, Tulsa police received a call about a man walking near a medical office while carrying a handgun and a rifle. According to Tulsa Police Captain Richard Meulenberg, the situation quickly turned into an active shooter situation the moment police responded.
“Officers immediately rushed to the 2nd floor where the shooting was taking place. When they got there, they found a few people had been shot [and] a couple were dead at that time,” Meulenberg said. “We also found at that time who [we] believe and still believe to [be] the shooter because he had a long rifle and a pistol with him.”
“Police cars were lined up everywhere and on the surrounding roads. I snapped pictures and exited the backdoor,” said Debra Proctor, who has been a registered nurse for 46 years. She added that despite seeing plenty of death in her years of experience, “this was pretty shocking.”
ACTIVE SHOOTER UPDATE: We can confirm 4 people are deceased, including the shooter, in the active shooting situation at St. Francis hospital campus.

Officers are still clearing the building. More info to follow.
One of the Tulsa shooting victims died after leaving the scene in an attempt to seek medical aid. At least 3 others also died and 10 more were wounded in the shooting. The unnamed shooter died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Tulsa Deputy Chief Eric Dalgleish.
Tulsa police officials will hold a news conference Thursday at 10:15am CDT to discuss the details of the incident. However, ahead of the briefing, Capt. Meulenberg interestingly announced that the attack was NOT random.
As if the Tulsa shooting wasn’t enough for one day, officials announced on Wednesday that they were successful in uncovering and terminating a planned shooting by a high school student in Berkeley, CA.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, police said they received a tip on May 21st that a 16-year-old teen had tried to recruit other high school students to help him enact a school shooting at Berkeley High School — in an attack that included explosives. After receiving the initial information, officers obtained a search warrant for the teen’s residence and executed a warrant the following day.
During their search, they surprisingly uncovered a plethora of planned violence, including parts for explosives and assault rifles, several knives, and electronic items that could be used to create additional weapons.
Thankfully, the deadly scheme was halted and the teen was arrested after surrendering himself to Berkeley police — and before the teen could detonate his destruction.
In light of the shooting deaths in Buffalo, NY, Ulvalde, TX, and now Tulsa and Berkeley within the same day, does anybody actually believe America doesn’t have a gun problem?
