As I was posting this tradition, I thought of you since I remembered it is one of your favorites. I’m glad you’re still here to enjoy it after all these years.

DJ, I have always loved this tradition. Thank you for this!
It always takes me back to my own childhood and how much my sibs and I absolutely LOVED this time of year. My mom was an outstanding baker and she loved baking all kinds of holiday goodies (bread, cakes and cookies) for us -and others-during the Christmas season.
But mom loved reading even more than she loved baking. And she read all kinds of wonderful children stories to us throughout our younger years. Needless to say, on Christmas Eve THIS was the story we looked forward to the most……lol.
