Please don’t misunderstand me my friend. I’m not saying that enough people will rise up and take him down.

But it does appear that, so far, a sizeable number of Russians (mostly young adults) are willing to risk everything, including their lives, to try to stop Putin.

Those young people have parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles etc. who love them. Maybe, just maybe Some of those young people can get though to Some of the older and old people. Maybe.

Hey Truth I hope you are right. I would love to see the Russian people be the ones to take him down.

I was surprised by reporting I heard the other day which indicated that it’s actually Putin who controls the oligarchs. I don’t know how accurate that reporting is but it does seem rather odd to me that instead of reigning in Putin- which would put an end to this ongoing nightmare – the oligarchs appear to be running for cover and trying to save their ass…ets. /facetious

Now (as of about 12 Noon today) Biden officially “announced a ban on Russian oil and other energy imports” to the U.S.

You’re right BD. Putin still has the support of the majority of the Russian people, especially the Older/and Old populations.

However, a growing number of mostly young adult Russians are doing something that frankly is surprising me! They’re risking their jobs, their freedom, and their very LIVES protesting AGAINST the Russian leadership (in this case, Putin).

As per all the reporting I’ve seen, more than 13,000 Russian protestors have been arrested thus far. And protests are still happening in major cities across Russia. We shall see.
