Uvalde Police Chief Is Guilty Of Failure!

Spread The Love

The Uvalde Police Department and its chief are guilty of a failure to do their duty.

Current Events :
When police officers responded to an active shooter on May 24th at the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX, their commander delayed officers from entering the school and taking down the shooter. We now know why.

Uvalde Police

According to The New York Times, Uvalde Police Chief Pete Arredondo did not send police into the building because he was afraid he and the other officers would be harmed. Or, in other words, he did not want to do his job and protect the children inside because he feared being shot by the gunman himself.

If that wasn’t enough, The Times is also reporting that more than a dozen students remained alive for over an hour before officers collected the courage to enter the school. Or, in other words, several children and/or faculty members could still be alive today if police had entered the building, taken down the shooter, and allowed emergency responders inside to provide medical attention.

“The first responder… said that their child likely bled out,” Texas state senator Roland Gutierrez said. “In that span of 30 or 40 minutes extra, that little girl might have lived.

“So many things went wrong, here,” he added.

Wait, there’s more.

Not only did Arredondo arrive on the scene without a police radio and a viable means of communication (other than his own personal cell phone), but he somehow inexplicably believed he was not the correct authority to take control.

Chief Arredondo

In an interview published by The Texas Tribune, Chief Arredondo (whose department had jurisdiction over Uvalde schools) said he never considered himself the commander at the scene and had assumed someone else would come along and take control of the response. He also said that because he left his police radio behind, he was unaware of the numerous and frantic 911 calls coming from the classroom.

This is a dereliction of duty to the nth degree by the Uvalde police chief — and one that should be criminally punished. Thankfully, the US Department of Justice has launched an investigation into the failure of Chief Arredondo and the Uvalde Police Department.

If may DJ – not only did Arredondo “not want to do his job.” He DIDN’T do his job of saving those kids because he and his men are Cowards!

A bunch of Cowards with guns no less…smh!

In light of ALL that’s been demonstrated by too many men serving in local police departments across this nation, from at least as far back as the Rodney King beating to the present, I now believe MOST of them are NOT remotely fit to serve. And since they reflect the culture within their respective precincts, I’m convinced their so called “Captain” or “Commander” or “Chief” (Arredondo, for example) are even less fit.

Texas Tribune: UVALDE — Everyone in town is waiting to hear from Pete Arredondo. As chief of the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District Police Department, it was his call to wait more than an hour for backup instead of ordering officers on scene to immediately charge the shooter who killed 19 students and two teachers at Robb Elementary School. The chief of the state police later said this was the “wrong decision, period.” Now, Arredondo is a man in hiding, as calls for answers and accountability grow louder each day. In the week since state police singled him out for blame, Arredondo has hardly been seen. Police officers stand guard outside his home. He has declined to explain his actions, telling a television crew that staked out his office he would not do so until after the victims’ funerals. City officials, too, have assisted in the vanishing act. They canceled… Read more »

If I may again DJ – in other words, Arredondo and every police officer who FAILED to try to save those kids should be fired – AND IF a case can be made against them in a court of law – they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law…in my opinion.

I honestly don’t know how any of them sleep at night!?! I really don’t.

Truth is right. Every single one of them needs to get fired and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
