Vaping, Not Guns, Targeted By Trump
Guns in the hands of white supremacists and homegrown terrorists are killing far too many men, women, and children in America. So, what danger has Donald Trump targeted to eliminate from society and to save humankind? Vaping!
Current Events
According to the CDC, 39,773 people were the victims of US gun-related deaths in 2017. That staggering figure is the equivalent of nearly 110 gun deaths per day. However, due to the iron fist of the National Rifle Association, Trump and his Republican cronies would rather ignore the very real dangers of gun violence in favor of focusing on an alternate cause to champion: yes, vaping.
Granted, the new teen social craze of vaping is currently responsible for 400 illnesses and 5 deaths in America. Although the risks are obvious and in need of attention, the dangers of vaping are not even in the same stratosphere as gun violence. However, ‘The Donald’ would rather outlaw e-cigarettes over assault weapons.
“We are looking at vaping very strongly. It’s very dangerous. Children have died. People have died,” Trump said last week during an Oval Office announcement to ban flavored e-cigarettes. He also added that his decision was related to first lady Melania Trump’s concern for son, Barron, and other teens like him.
However, if 5 American deaths this year at the hands of vape pens were enough to get Trump’s attention, then why has he turned a deaf ear to nearly 40,000 American deaths in a year at the hands of guns?
“It’s like having salmonella in Romaine lettuce and calling to ban peanut butter,” said Mike Hogan, of the Smoke-Free Alternatives Trade Association. “It is literally public health malpractice.”
Or, to put it another way, it would be like ignoring something as severe as the AIDS crisis or cancer deaths while putting all resources into curing the common cold.
Yes, vaping with fruit-flavored e-cigarettes is maturing into a huge problem among junior high and high school teens in America. However, no one has ever walked into a 1st Grade classroom and killed a bunch of 6-year-olds and their teacher with a vape pen. No school in America has ever held a mandatory drill on how to survive if a vape pen user entered a school. No Mexicans were ever specifically targeted and murdered with a vape pen while shopping inside a border-area Walmart.
So, what’s really going on, here?
Donald Trump has 30 million reasons to ignore gun deaths in America and to focus on vaping deaths instead. After all, the NRA did donate $30 million dollars to the 2016 Trump campaign — and are promising more in 2020 for him to continue to do their bidding.

OK WASSUP! covers Current Events:
Trump bans vaping instead of guns.
This is a important story because it proves where Repubs are on guns. They do not care how many people die just as long as they keep getting that NRA money. For Trump to now act like he cares with this gaping thing is him being a hipocrite.
