If it’s not one thing with the Catholic Church, then it’s another. After enduring years of gay sexual molestation charges levied against priests by (formerly) young boys, Catholicism has been rocked by yet another gay sex scandal. This one goes all the way up to the Vatican in Rome, where one of the Pope’s ceremonial ushers, as well as a member of the elite Vatican choir, were involved in a homosexual prostitution ring.
The allegations were revealed after an Italian newspaper published transcripts of telephone calls recorded by police, who had been conducting an unrelated corruption investigation. The tapes alleged to record the voice of Angelo Balducci, a Gentleman of His Holiness, negotiating with Thomas Chinedu Ehiem, a 29 year-old Nigerian Vatican chorister, about men he wanted brought to him for sexual purposes. Balducci reportedly paid 2,000 euros ($2,714) for each man he met and was recorded describing the precise physical details of the men he wanted. According to the tapes which were recorded over 5 months in 2008, Ehiem arranged for Balducci at least 10 contacts with men, including “two black Cuban lads,” a former male model from Naples, and a rugby player from Rome.
Until recently, Balducci held such a high position within the Vatican that he was among those who carried the coffin of the late Pope John Paul II at his funeral in 2005. Needless to say, he has now been relieved of his position as a Gentleman of the Holiness.
Okay, I'll step into the lion's den….But first I'd like to preface my comments by stating that I'm not Catholic and my thoughts on the matter are just my thoughts_I do NOT wish to offend anyone! The truth is, I believe ANY religion that seeks to "kill" the "natural" order of man's "nature" (priest must remain celibate and never marry) will find that edict violated time-and-time again by POSERS who never had the wherewithall to abide by such a law/proclamation in the first place. The Catholic Church appears to runneth over with pedophiles and homosexuals_and that's just a fact. It also appears that there has always been a number of high-ranking members of the Catholic Church who knows about these very problematic "issues" and opt to look the OTHER way and/or conspire to cover "it" up__UNTIL somebody gets caught!
