Republicans of the 118th Congress were already out for revenge for myriad reasons. Now, the Biden classified documents case has a vengeful GOP smelling blood and out to get even at all costs.

When the FBI discovered Donald Trump had stolen and was hoarding more than 300 classified documents inside his Mar-a-Lago mansion in Florida, the Department of Justice discovered a clear-cut case of malfeasance against him. And then, President Biden’s classified documents case popped up.
Although it appears clear that Mr. Biden is not in any legal jeopardy after about 2 dozen classified documents were discovered inside his former Washington office and Delaware home, the political fallout could be unforgiving. In fact, the vengeful GOP has recognized a vulnerability and is already circling Mr. Biden like a school of sharks going in for a kill.
House Republicans are salivating to use their uber-slim congressional majority to investigate and even impeach President Biden for a number of unknown crimes — which now includes his classified documents case. The only problem is that Republicans want to hold the president to a standard they have blatantly refused to hold against Donald Trump for his intentional theft of secret documents.
During an appearance on CNN, House Oversight Committee Chairman, GOP Rep. James Comer of Kentucky, accidentally let it slip that his party is out to get President Biden for mistakenly having classified documents — but willing to look the other way for Donald Trump intentionally stealing classified documents.
“With respect to investigating President Trump, there have been so many investigations of President Trump. I don’t feel like we need to spend a whole lot of time investigating President Trump because the Democrats have done that for the past six years,” Comer said on CNN’s “State of the Union” with anchor Jake Tapper. “So the hypocrisy here is great. We just want equal treatment,” he added.
Be careful what you wish for, Comer.
“So, what you’re saying to viewers who don’t understand why President Biden’s documents seem like a big priority for you, but President Trump, who took hundreds more documents, did not comply with a subpoena, did not reach out to the National Archives or the Justice Department to say, ‘Hey, we found these documents,’ it’s not a priority? Do you only care about classified documents being mishandled when Democrats do the mishandling?” Tapper asked the obviously vengeful GOP congressman.
Resentful and revenge-seeking Republicans had already boldly announced their intention to use their time on Capitol Hill to investigate President Biden, investigate his son, Hunter, investigate the FBI and CIA, investigate COVID vaccines, and basically waste working hours on avenging the reputation of Donald Trump over actually doing anything for the American people.
Now that the Biden classified documents case has all but fallen into their laps, they’re as giddy as a girl scout on cookie day to use their political powers to finally get even.
