Obama's election, I laid low on the election results. But I will offer coverage and editorial regarding the races on Monday.- DJ

In the event that DJ doesn't do a post today on the outcomes_here's my 2 cents:As per the NJ and VA exit polls, Pres. Obama was NOT a factor in their voting. It’s “THE ECONOMY.”.. “majorities of voters in both states (56 percent in Virginia and 60 percent in New Jersey) said President Obama was not a factor in their vote today.”Full read: <a href="http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/11/03/politics/politicalhotsheet/entry5514455.shtmlhttp://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/11/03/politics/… />Which means the Dem establishment backed two LOSERS in those governors’ races and the voters opted for CHANGE. It’s a BIG deal for Repubs in THOSE 2 states AND it’s a WAKE-UP call for the President and the Democratic Party. The American people are afraid! They are losing their jobs, their income, their homes, their HEALTH-insurance, their dignity and THEIR PATIENCE. Bailing out Wall Street while main-street continues to suffer and is forced to fend for itself in an economically inequitable _and downright hostile _environment is NOT acceptable. Word to the President: The majority of Americans are still betting you’ll get Us out of this mess. But you’re running out of time_FAST. WE need effective solutions NOW or make NO mistake about it_2010 will INDEED be a referendum on YOU. Word to the Rethugs: Ummm fellas. The 2 guys who won those governor races did so while running as fast and as fat as they could AWAY from Right-wing BS. The shmuck (Palin’s pick) who embraced that Right-wing BS in NY 23 _LOST to a Democrat! Spin it any way you want. But your party is bleeding its life away_Period. Word to the Dem hierarchy: Today’s Republican party is like a seriously wounded animal that is DYING. But it AIN’T dead yet! Ignore that wouned beast's poisonous tactics at your own peril.

If, when GOP presidential aspirants position themselves in earnest for the party primary in 2011, the tenor of the candidates resembles that of Hoffman and his major supporters, I'd bet on Obama to win in a rout."Full read: <a href="http://politics.theatlantic.com/2009/11/it_doesnt_mean_squat.phphttp://politics.theatlantic.com/2009/11/it_doesnt… />Hat-Tip: Andrew Sullivan- The Daily DishHmmm…I don't know about Obama winning in a "rout"(???)But about 4 years ago, I began posting on another site, that the extreme Right-wing has been the dominant controlling force of the Republican party since the 2000 election of G. Dubya Bush. From neoCONS and Talibangelicals -to- neoConfederates, Kristianists, and other assorted neoKLANfolk.I'll be checking out tonight's election results.
