Full disclosure: Pat Buchanan co-founded a site I have frequented for years – The American Conservative (TAC). One of my favorite writers on TAC had been Rod Dreher. However over the past year Rod has slowly succumbed to an irrational Fear and paranoia (not hate) of all things NOT white male and Christian…to the point that I now rarely read his posts. His commenters are still mostly a great read. But I digress.

Fear and hatred of people of Color have always “oozed” from Pat’s pores. But there was time when he’d try to hide it just a bit so that it wasn’t so dang obvious. It didn’t work back then. People saw right through his strained efforts.

I guess now that’s he’s gotten OLD and sees white dominance really slipping away he’s decided to go full BULL-HORN expressing his racist, bigoted and xenophobic beliefs.

Yep. Trump is his kind of guy.

Later Sunday, Trump quoted a blatantly white nationalist column written by Pat Buchanan, the former communications director for President Ronald Reagan.

“The United States, as we have known it, is going to cease to exist … And Americans will not go gentle into that good night,” Trump tweeted, quoting Buchanan’s piece, entitled “Memo to Trump: Declare an Emergency.”

In the same column, Buchanan wrote: “The more multiracial, multiethnic, multicultural, multilingual America becomes — the less it looks like Ronald Reagan’s America — the more dependably Democratic it will become. The Democratic Party is hostile to white men, because the smaller the share of the US population that white men become, the sooner that Democrats inherit the national estate.”

Truth I have been swamped at work all day and did not hear about this until you mention it. I have to do some research on it now but this is not good. I know CBS just got a new person in charge of the news. If this was her first big decision she already flunked.

Everything I have been thinking but couldn’t put in to words you said right here. Any fool with even some common sense knows this wall isn’t going to keep anybody out. There was always a hidden meaning to it. Why else would all these white people raise twenty million dollars to give to God knows who. That is also the reason Trump can do no wrong to them. They don’t care about Russia or his past with women or nothing. All they care about is he save the white race from all these brown people trying to take over their country. Thank you for writing the truth.

This morning, I was again, reminded, that Trump is a symptom of what truly ails America..NOT the cause of it.,

“CBS News Just Announced Their Team of Journalists Covering the 2020 Presidential Election. Guess How Many of Them Aren’t Black?”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweet:
This WH admin has made having a functional understanding of race in America one of the most important core competencies for a political journalist to have, yet @CBSNews hasn’t assigned a *single* black journalist to cover the 2020 election.

Unacceptable in 2019. Try again. […]

Kerry Washington tweet:
Dear @CBSNews, I am encouraged by the diversity you DID include. But when it comes time to discuss the inevitable role that race and racism will play in the election, who will you turn to for a perspective with nuanced & personal understanding of the African American experience? […]

Erin Biba:
It’s actually *remarkable* that you could make an error this glaringly stupid and wrong. You’d almost have to have done this intentionally it’s so obvious. […]

H/t: The Roots.
