Ever heard of Lisa Lavie?
Well if you haven’t before, you soon will. She is the YouTube singing sensation, who, along with 57 other YouTube amateur singers participated in a remake of “We Are the World,” which many are saying puts the current auto-tuned, celebrity-filled version to shame.
“The process of putting this together was was a lot of fun. I reached out to tons of great singers on YouTube and asked them to be a part of this project,” Lavie said. “Everyone jumped on board and I then assigned lines to everyone.”
The result is garnering thousands of comments across the web, bringing a fresh joy to an old classic, praising the talents of the performers, and most certainly rivaling the recent remake. WATCH:
