Last week, White House party crashers Michaele and Tareq Salahi appeared eager to get their story out and clear their name of any wrongdoing. This week? Um…they plead the FIFTH!
That’s right. After being summoned by Congress to testify regarding their “questionable” entry into a White House State Dinner, the Salahi’s totally blew lawmakers off. TWICE. The first time they just didn’t show. But this time, they’ve made it clear through their attorney of their intentions to invoke their 5th Amendment right to remain silent.
Why clam up now? What happened to all the bravado from last week of how they were anxious to prove they were actually invited to the State Dinner? Well, it appears the Salahi’s have a few — ahem — legal problems in their past. So, they’re going silent so as not to aggravate other pending charge against them. Interesting!
These people should be in jail and out the news!
