WE WILL MISS YOU, STEVE!
Some called him an innovator. Others called him a visionary. But to Apple enthusiasts around the world, he was simply a genius!
Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs died yesterday after an 8 year battle with pancreatic cancer and other health issues. The inventor of the personal computer, the original iPod and the revolutionary iPhone, was perhaps the greatest CEO of his generation — having changed technology with his forward thinking and life changing concepts. His presence at Apple took the 2nd tier tech company stock from $10. to $400. a share, created a loyal worldwide fan base rivaled by none and has Apple currently ranked along with Exxon as one of the top companies in the world!
Jobs, who was known for his “one more thing” announcements at Apple presentations, resigned from Apple in late August after realizing he was too ill to meet the grueling day-to-day challenges his position required. In a surprise letter to the Apple Board of Directors, Jobs said: “I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.” No one knew he was so close to the end.
In his own words, Jobs said he always lived each and every day as if it were his last. He was surrounded by his family when he lost his life battle yesterday at his home in Palo Alto, CA. Jobs’ family thanked everyone for their prayers and support during Steve’s prolonged illness. His death is a huge loss to the tech world. He can simply never be replaced.
<span>"Some called him an innovator. Others called him a visionary. But to Apple enthusiasts around the world, he was simply a genius!" HEAR! HEAR! Without question, IMO, he was the embodiment of ALL 3…in the same vein as Thomas Edison, Lewis Latimer, Alexander Graham Bell, Granville T. Woods, Karl Benz, George Washington Carver, Otis Boykin, and OTHER "insanely great" Giants, who contributed Mightily to the progress of mankind and indeed the world. R.I.P., Steve Jobs. You WILL be missed.</span>
