TPM: "Sarah Palin Reportedly Quits Bus Tour" Real Clear Politics is reporting that Palin and her family have returned to Alaska from their "One Nation" bus tour, despite tentatively scheduled stops in Iowa and South Carolina. From Scott Conroy at RCP: Though Palin and her staff never announced a timeline for the remaining legs of her trip, aides had drafted preliminary itineraries that would have taken her through the Midwest and Southeast at some point this month. But those travel blueprints are now in limbo, RCP has learned, as Palin and her family have reverted to the friendly confines of summertime Alaska, where the skies are currently alight for over 19 hours a day and the Bristol Bay salmon fishing season is nearing its peak. Palin's intent to visit Iowa and South Carolina, as well as one stop in New Hampshire, caused some speculation that she was starting to get serious about a run for president in 2012. Yeah. I didn't think he was going to get the nomination anyway. And by all accounts his *roll-out* yesterday was pretty much a disaster.Po fella. His campaign is all but done before it even gets started.

Thank you DJ for answering my note to write more Republican based stories here. I see you led with two Republican topics today, however they were so negative it was not what I had in mind. I disagree when you say the Republican field is weak. I believe Mitt Romney is an exceptional candidate who will certainly get my vote. I also think Michele Bachmann is much stronger than you give her credit for. I like your stories here, as they are well written and informative. Still, I recognize this is a liberal blog so I may be asking too much for a positive Republican story. Maybe the next story can be a bit more upbeat. Thank you.

BREAKING NEWS:2 MORE GINGRICH STAFFERS QUIT CAMPAIGN.The 2 remaining financial staffers just resigned from the Gingrich campaign, joining a dozen ohers who quit last week. Their resignation is considered a major blow, since they were responsible for raising and maintaining campaign funds necessary for Gingrich to operate. Their resignation also signals major problems inside the camp.How much longer before Newt has to throw in the towel?
