Republican congressman Allen West is known for being a controversial conservative. But did he cross the line recently with some rather choice words?
At a campaign event last week in Port Saint Lucie, the Florida congressman told voters he believes President Obama wants to enslave them with government programs. ”He does not want you to have the self-esteem of getting up and earning and having that title of American. He’d rather you be his slave,” West said. Hmmm.
If you think those words were bad, you should know that is hardly West’s first reference to slavery. Last February, West called government programs “the most insidious form of slavery.” In August of last year, he referred to himself as a “modern-day Harriet Tubman, to kind of lead people on the Underground Railroad, away from that plantation into a sense of sensibility.” Wow!
Incidentally, West is African-American. He is also reportedly on the list of contenders to be Mitt Romney’s running mate!

Did he "cross the line recently"….?!When doesn't this ignorant-azz clown (and others of his ilk) cross the line when referring to the President??? Frankly, it's what I've come to expect from right-wingers, White AND Black. They all drink from the same toxic well. They're all untited in their Hatred for the President. I don't mind saying that, as a Black-American, I view Black right-wingers as more Hateful than their Caucasion right-wing brethren.
