White Supremacists Have A New Face: Trump!
For all the white supremacists who have been hiding in the shadows and, even those who have been boldly living out in the open — their white knight in shining armor has finally come to save the day: Donald Trump!
Racism
Trump says all the things white supremacists secretly think, but are just too afraid to say out loud for fear of being politically incorrect. This new hero of white power is the epitome of someone who’s willing to use racism to advance their own personal agenda or political position. And boy, is Trump that guy.
Donald Trump represents a frightening trend of convenient racists who operate under the belief that America was great before ethnic and racial minorities, non-Christians, women, and sexual minorities ruined it for everyone else. It’s people like Trump and his radical followers who always want to “return to the good ol’ days.” They’ll say things like “racism is wrong, but…” or “I’m not a racist, but…” and then something unbelievably racist follows. They’ll say “ALL lives matter” just to devalue black lives. They’ll say they are not homophobes but just have strong religious beliefs against same-sex relationships (however premarital sex, adultery, lust and other “sins” of the bible are OK). They’ll say they’re not Islamaphobes, just against terrorism (while ignoring terrorism at the hands of Christian terrorists who are American). They’ll even claim they’re not bigots — just opposed to illegal immigration (of brown people). It’s a kinder, gentler form of bigotry, but it’s still bigotry. Now, Donald Trump is the new face of white supremacy. He just wants us all to give him a free pass on any sort of political correctness.
From the start of his campaign, Trump has used white supremacy buzz words (including his phrase: “illegal immigrants are killers and rapists”) to speak the language of his target audience. For example, let’s not forget his classic hate speech rally in Alabama, where he told 30,000 supporters about the alleged rape and torture of a 66-year-old victim in California who was supposedly attacked by an “illegal immigrant.” The crowd went wild. “We have to do it. We have to do something,” Trump said as the crowd roared and chanted “White power!” Whether it was true or not didn’t really matter. It served to whip the racists into a frenzy, which was exactly the goal.
Trump and his “Trumpies” (as his followers are called) are not concerned about undocumented Russians, Ukrainians, Irish, Canadians or even Chinese. They’re only concerned about brown people. If Trump were to tell the story of an undocumented Irishman committing a heinous crime such as rape, he wouldn’t get the same roar of approval as a similar story about an “illegal Mexican.”
For anyone with knowledge of Klan rallies, skinhead gatherings, and meetings of the Aryan Nations, the rhetoric is almost exactly the same as Trump’s. In the end, Trump’s crowd and a KKK crowd are always hell-bent to “do something” about it and “take back America” (although it’s unclear from whom or what).
“Let’s go back in time to when America was great,” they all say.
Racism
Last week, Donald Trump proposed that in order for it to be great, America must ban all Muslims from entering the country, once again whipping his followers up into a frenzy that FINALLY, something was being done about “it.” Then, 23-year-old Carl James Dial was charged with a hate crime on Saturday, after intentionally setting fire to a Muslim mosque in Southern California. Coincidence? Almost certainly not. In fact, who knows how many hate crimes Trump’s rhetoric will inspire in the process?
Trump and the white supremacists who follow him are opposed to (brown) immigrants. However, let’s not forget that the United States is a nation of immigrants who come from a variety of nations. Most white Americans have ancestors that only go back to the 1880s, making them “less American” than African-Americans (whose ancestors date back to slavery) and of course Native Americans, who are the REAL Americans. Yet with an Us vs. Them mentality, white supremacists love to see themselves as the real Americans who (as the 1920s Klan would say, “100% American”) are under siege by Jews, homosexuals, African-Americans and other external enemies.
Now, Trump is trying to woo Conservative Christians with his Islamophobic “ban all Muslims” message, including made-up stories about Christian refugees from Syria not being allowed into the U.S., when Muslim refugees are. It’s another lie, yet the “I’m not racist” Trumpies send the lie around in chain emails and Facebook stories as if it’s fact. For those who are believers (Fox News enthusiasts also come to mind), if they hear it uttered then it must be true.
White supremacists always see the end coming very soon. They spent 7 years believing President Obama is a secret Muslim who would suspend democracy and herd whites into camps. They believe Black Lives Matter activists will declare open season on white people. Christian extremists like the Ku Klux Klan and the Aryan Nations folks see a biblical confrontation looming (they call it “Rahowa,” short for Racial Holy War). The NRA and gun enthusiasts are hoarding ammo because they see a shootout coming. So (in their words) if “we don’t do something” to stop all our enemies from changing our way of life, America as we know it will be ripped from our (white) hands. It’s white supremacy 101.
Trump enacts the exact same mentality — especially when walking on stage to REM’s “It’s the End of the World As We Know It.” However, he doesn’t give a hoot about the casualties of his words, because it serves the purpose of lifting his poll numbers and his incredibly inflated ego.
Trump has convinced his followers that if they don’t support him, America will collapse. White supremacists convinced its followers that if we freed the slaves, allowed blacks to vote, allowed blacks to infiltrate schools and neighborhoods, allowed the mixing of the races, let Mexican immigrants in, America would collapse.
See the correlation?

I wish the poll let you have two votes. I'd vote they are a bunch of racists who are clueless idiots. Good article DJ.
