YOUTUBE PRO CHANNELS COMING!
YouTube has long been a bastion of amateur videos, offering a built-in audience to everything from playful puppies to budding singing sensations. But now, YouTube is going pro.
Robert Kyncl, YouTube’s global head of content partnerships, has announced that “channels created by well-known personalities and content producers from the TV, film, music, news, and sports fields, as well as…some of YouTube’s own existing partners” will begin rolling out “starting [in November] and continuing over the next year.”
“Our goal with this channels expansion is to bring an even broader range of entertainment to YouTube, giving you more reasons to keep coming back,” Kyncl continued. “And for advertisers, these channels will represent a new way to engage and reach their global consumers.”
YouTube will now present professionally produced content from well-known personalities and content producers, including Madonna, Lady Gaga, The Onion and others, as well as some of the most innovative up-and-coming media companies. For a sneak peak at what to expect, click HERE.
