ZIMMER-MAN!

Spread The Love

UPDATE: The family that George Zimmerman saved from an overturned vehicle earlier this week insists that, while they are thankful to the man recently acquitted by a Florida court for the murder of Trayvon Martin, they are terrified of being publicly associated with him. Today, a spokesperson for Zimmerman attorney Mark O’Mara confirmed that the family will cancel a planned news conference saying that “They don’t want to be associated with George.”

It’s a bird.  It’s a plane.  No, it’s ZIMMER-MAN!

That’s right, George Zimmerman is now (supposedly) a super hero.  At least that’s what his “handlers” want the public to believe, after it was made public that the killer of Trayvon Martin allegedly stopped to save an overturned vehicle on the streets of Sanford, FL the other day.

Granted, Zimmerman could have possibly been in the right place at the right time to appear as a hero in the hopes of salvaging his sullied reputation.  But it is also possible that Zimmerman and his “handlers” used the tragedy of an overturned vehicle to make him appear to be an instant hero.  Hmmm…

Personally, I think it’s all as make-believe as one of those Batman and Robin fights (KA-POW!). George Zimmerman has been in hiding for over a year in the interest of protecting his own safety.  IF he ever ventured out into the public, he has admitted himself that he only did so wearing a crafty disguise — again in the interest of protecting his safety.  Now that he’s been acquitted by a jury and the death threats against him have quadrupled, I have a hard time believing George Zimmerman was just driving down the street by himself, dressed as himself, then feeling comfortable enough to pull over and step out of his car to help ANYONE.  Something just doesn’t add up.

Oh well, true or not, at least this story provided for some rather humorous fodder across late night television.  When Stephen Colbert of Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” reported the supposed heroism, he said “This must be the first time anyone has said, ‘I’m sure glad George Zimmerman was following me!'”
