A newly released videotape shows Zimmerman re-enacting for investigators his version of events the night he shot and killed unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin.
The re-enactment, which was conducted at the scene only a day after the February 26th shooting, was made available on the GZlegalcase.com website managed by Zimmerman’s defense team.
In the tape, Zimmerman states that he was ambushed by Martin, who was hiding in a bush prior to attacking him that night in a gated community in Sanford, FL. Zimmerman says he yelled for help and had no other recourse than to shoot Martin in order to save his own life.
