BREAKING NEWS: "George Zimmerman to be charged in Trayvon Martin shooting, official says"Wednesday, April 11, 2:46 PMFlorida special prosecutor Angela Corey plans to announce as early as Wednesday afternoon that she is charging neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in the shooting of Trayvon Martin, according to a law enforcement official close to the investigation.It was not immediately clear what charge Zimmerman will face.Martin, 17 and unarmed, was shot and killed Feb. 26 by Zimmerman, who said he was acting in self-defense. Police in Sanford, Fla., where the shooting took place, did not charge Zimmerman, citing the state’s “stand your ground” law.Corey told reporters Tuesday night that she would hold a news conference about the case within 72 hours. A news release from her office said the event will be held in Sanford or Jacksonville, Fla.Benjamin Crump, who is representing the Martin family, said this week that Corey’s office had asked where Trayvon’s parents would be each day this week. They arrived Wednesday in Washington for a civil rights conference organized by the Rev. Al Sharpton, where they spoke to reporters.Sabryna Fulton and Tracy Martin, Trayvon’s parents, said they would not comment on the charges because they had not been personally notified. So much about this case has stank to high heaven from the very beginning and the stench just keeps getting worse…smh. Look. I'm not an attorney but it seems to me that these two guys acted in a NON-professional manner by going on CABLE NEWS and shooting off their mouths about Zimmerman's possible state of mind. If they feel they can no longer represent the man then okay…drop him. But this case could be heading to trial in the future. Going on TV and muddying the jury-pool with OPINIONS as to what Zimmerman's current state of mind may OR may NOT be just seems like a violation of professional conduct to me.As to Zimmerman's possible state of mind:Not long after this story really began to unfold and some pretty accurate information about his history became public, I expressed on OK WASSUP! that it seemed to me that Zimmerman's PRIMARY problem is that he's a paranoid personality type, with his obsessive racist tendencies being secondary. I still think he fits that description.However, I would also add that I think he has delusional thoughts of being in law-enforcement (SEE his history of wanting to be a cop but for some reason FAILED to achieve that goal). Playing neighborhood *Cop* WITH A GUN allowed him to carry out that fantasy to the eventual detriment (and death) of Trayvon Martin.
