ALVIN GREENE INDICTED
It appears South Carolina Democratic Senate Candidate Alvin Greene has a lot more to worry about these days than if he can wage a successful run for political office.
Greene was indicted Friday on two felony charges, which involved showing pornography to a teenage college student in a computer lab. According to reports, Greene approached a student in a University of South Carolina computer lab, showed her obscene photos online, then attempted to go back with her to her dorm room. Greene reportedly frequented the computer lab at the Bates House dorm in Columbia several times before his arrest, using an old student ID card to gain admission. Dorm staffers told police they had asked security staff not to let him in, but he was able to get around that blockade.
Now a Richland County grand jury has indicted 32-year-old Alvin Greene for the felony charge of disseminating, procuring or promoting obscenity, as well as the misdemeanor charge of communicating obscene materials to a person without consent.
If convicted, Greene could face up to three years in prison for the misdemeanor or up to five years for the felony. And this would certainly put a huge damper on his hopeful senate career.
