Appearing Monday night on CNN’S ANDERSON COOPER 360, “Tea Party” leader Mark Williams stirred up quite a bit of controversy by exposing and embarrassing both himself and his movement.

Williams initially denounced Tea Party attendees who carried blatantly racist signs against President Obama as “no more part of the mainstream of America than the hippies who wear nipple clips and feather boas in San Francisco streets during so-called peace demonstrations.” But when Anderson Cooper pointed out that Williams himself had used his own blog to call the President an Indonesian Muslim turned welfare thug and a racist in chief,” Williams stumbled and responded, “Yeah, well that’s the way he’s behaving.” WATCH:
